On-tap at Cigar City during Hunahpu weekend. Served in a snifter.

A- Pours a cloudy pale yellow, has a thin white head that recedes to a thin layer, leaves some spotty lacing.

S- Loads of kumquat in the aroma, also some tartness and wheat.

T- Nice lactic tartness, spot-on for the style, the kumquat is still very noticeable but is considerably more subtle in the flavor. A bit of wheat sweetness.

M- Light-bodied, a bit dry towards the finish, highly drinkable and refreshing.

O- A very solid Berliner, the Kumquats are great, especially in the aroma. I had this a few times over Hunahpu weekend and would definitely have it again.

On-tap, served in a tulip

A cloudy pale straw/yellow in color with a one finger bone white cap. Good retention as the head fell slowly to a thin, patchy layer over the liquid.

The nose is of cracked wheat, kumquats, and a touch of tartness. Straightforward, as expected for the style.

Some juicy kumquat flavors leap to the front of the palate. An equal dose of sweet and tart from the fruit with some grainy wheat through the middle. A little bit of lactic tartness comes through in the finish.

Light bodied, easy drinking and refreshing.

This is a nice fruit infused berliner that could a touch more tartness.

First had: on tap at Hawthornes, Philly, PA

Cloudy, golden-copper pour with a white ringlet; minimal lacing. Aroma was light and citrusy. The taste was similarly citrusy, quite acidic, sour kumquat pulp, with some toasted wheat in the distance. Light-medium body, mouthfeel was dry and acidic, but it wasn't overly potent as far as sourness goes, and the lower ABV made this quite a drinkable beer.

On tap at ccb.

A straw colored, hazy, small thin white head, that is gone fast. Left with a white ring.

S tangy, light, wheat, light kumquat

T big bold tangy tart citrus begining. The middle fades into the kumquat citrus and the end is very light. Barely any aftrt taste.

M light thin and prickley.

O not bad. But not my ideal style...
