Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Had on nitro-tap, served in a pint glass.

A: All right, I'm a sucker for nitro beers. This is gorgeous. Opaque dark brown, a creamy 2 1/2 finger tan creamy head, and that transfixing cascade of milkshake-looking movement,

S: Whiskey, wood, chocolate and coffee roasted maltiness.

T: Follows the nose exactly, with just a hint of roasty smoke. The dryness of the wood lingers for a bit without adding much vanilla to the flavor.

M: Creamy mouthfeel (nitro), only moderate alcohol presence for a barrel-aged anything.

O: This is really quite tasty for an Irish Dry Stout - certainly not always one of my favorite styles. Thumbs up to the treatment, and the nitro serving just adds to the fun. Recommended.
