A: Glutinous coal to an oily deep black pour, with stimulating burnt umber thru lightening. The camel neckline recedes to a thin film, which is shallow to incepted lace thru passage
S: Soft acidity on ripened cherries, as sweetness builds along bourbon subtexts. Forward notes in bitter dark chocolate, caramel fudge, and cocoa beans while oak and roasted malt circumference. The coffee workings play to El Salvador with cherries and assorted red fruits, as progression links furtherance in barrel connotations: browned coconut, smoked molasses, berried milk duds to liquored nuts
T: Charred oak, rich malt, roasted grains accompany the course over vanilla milk chocolate to cherry-berry toffee. These essentials hitch sweetened espresso, then linger around mid-palate nearing aftertaste. The synopsis changes over time offering a unique network of leathered dark fruit, softened Bulls-Eyes, and licorice tire tracks. Accordingly, barrel draw is alert, wheedling annotations on maintenance, and drawing furtherance in dried lactic cranberries, withered prunes, and oaked chick o sticks
M: A medium leaning scale with slight inclination and docile carbonation, where feel semi-checks the viscosity pose thru a roast-y, meaty mainstay & tempered hop kick. The sentiment is thick, creamy, and has a velvety sweet, sticky roundness. Yet, wary of a sickly chubbiness as heat progresses in warmth
O: Softer carbonation in vintage, with more awareness near sweet dark fruit per interval. The barrel works an interwoven backbone across sensibly smooth heat, and maintains an evolving coat to the weathered sensitivities…There’s an elegance to oxidation that greets healthy convolution

750 ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a jet black color with a one-finger creamy khaki colored head that has good retention and reduces to a ring around the edge
S- dark chocolate and bourbon soaked cherries, reminiscent of chocolate covered cherries, followed by notes of vanilla cream, brownie crust, charred malt, molasses & brown sugar. Bourbon barrel undertones adds light coconut and caramel
T- sweet booze soaked cherry and chocolate, like a liquid chocolate covered cherry. Mid-palate brings out notes of sweet vanilla whipping cream, caramel, molasses, fig, brownie batter and dried cranberries. The finish brings out just enough barrel to pop through, adding light oak, bourbon & coconut notes, lingers of cherry and chocolate
M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel and a velvety viscous finish
O- the cherry is bold but not cloying, like drinking a cherry cordial, outstanding

Appearance: Pours out obsidian with a rather modest head; leggy with some spotty lace
Smell: Dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla with a cherry aspect; all enveloped by Bourbon
Taste; Dark chocolate, caramel and cherry tones, with Bourbon, oak and vanilla building; the finish is sweet with cherry tones that linger into the aftertaste; boozy
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: A powerful beer, but a little sweeter than I would prefer

Stark black with a dense mocha foam that settles to a moderate blanket.
Smell is very forward of charred oak and bourbon, yet without the expected stinging heat, providing plenty of dark fruits, cherry and molasses. Coconut, mapled nuts and dark roast are also present, with some effort.
Taste is chocolate syrup drizzled cherry with a persistent bourbon presence, which, again, is surprisingly absent of heat. There is quite a bit of molasses and prune in the swallow. In fairly short order, it actually very much reminds us of a wine barrel aged Dark Lord, between the mix of dark fruits, stickiness, sweetness, and barrel presence, however it's a bit too heavy leaning towards the dark fruits.
The moderate body has a crisp but soft fizz before it finishes tingly and sticky.
