8.4 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: Pours a dark hazy reddish color, like strawberry juice. Foamy light head with good retention.

Smell: Aroma of strawberries, slightly sweet with some earthy/green notes.

Taste: Really just like the smell.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with some light tingly carbonation.

Drinkability: Low ABV, easy to drink.

A nice strawberry beer, definitely the best of these that I've tried. Still not a big fan of this style, but this is a good one.

Poured from 12oz bottle

A: Pours a semi-opaque light red body with a small off-white almost pink head with low retention and no lacing.

S: YUM. Strong strawberries with hints of orange wheat and traces of some spiciness.

T: Strong strawberries hit upfront turning into hints of "beer" the ending still has strong wheat with hints of strawberries and other fruits.

M: Well carbonated with little bubbles dancing across the tongue.

Overall: I enjoyed this, not the best of the style, but for the price it's amazing.

On tap at The Abbey in Baltimore.

Appearance: As you can imagine, a Strawberry color. Some nice haze and not entirely clear.

Smell: Strawberry and malty fruit flavors. Seems legit and without extract, but who knows.

Taste: A nice balance between sweetness and tartness with the strawberries and malty flavors. Lingering fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Champagne-like and sparkling carbonation that works really well.

Drinkability: A solid fruit beer, and certainly one I'd drink again. This was my first strawberry beer too I think.

A - poured a three finger fluffy head - that dissipated to half a finger - good lacing - deep red stawberry colour - cloudy

S - huge strawberry scent with some wheat balancing it out

T - sweet strawberries with a witbier like backbone - cloves - some bitter orange peel in the finish

M - really enjoyed this aspect - sweet yet tart and dry - very creamy and smooth despite the sweetness

O - why have I avoided this!!! Really enjoyable and I will now grab this from time to time when I have a sweet tooth.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. OK lacing.

S: A very strong, potent smell of strawberries. Couldn't detect much of anything else, but it was pleasant.

T: Tasted of strawberries, strawberries, and more strawberries. There's a slight (very slight) maltiness, but this is overwhelmed by the tart, vibrancy of the fruit.

S: A highly carbonated beer with a surprisingly dry and smooth finish. Light-bodied.

D: I guess your attitude toward this beer depends on how much you like strawberries. I found it to be drinkable.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a wine tulip. Pours a light pink'ish color and results in a ruby color with 1 to 2 finger white fizzy head. Head dissapates relatively quickly to a very small ring and leaves light fizzy lacing. Appearance is hazy.

Aroma is very sweet of course, like pink lemonade. My wife is correcting me now, and saying..."no, it smells like strawberries!" Regardless, it's one of those 2 and overall light smell, but sweet.

Not bad. Not my style, but I'm reviewing with an open mind. Not as thick and sweet as the popular Lindamans Framboise Lambic. Light, crisp, carbonated/fizzy...and a nice amount of strawberry flavor. No alcohol resemblance at all. Taste like a sugar-free strawberry soda.

Smoked salmon with pale orange edges. The attractive crown of foam is pale pink, which is a pretty common hue for a cherry, raspberry or strawberry fruit beer. One wide swatch of lace has appeared on the opposite side of the glass.

The aroma is more than just strawberry because Fruli is more than just a simple fruit beer. It's actually a witbier to which strawberry juice has been added. The result is several more layers of aroma (and, hopefully, flavor) that kick the score up a notch.

This little beauty is at least as good as Floris Framboise and Florisgaarden Apple, the only other Brouwerij Huyghe fruit beers that I've reviewed to date. As expected, the additional ingredients of orange peel and coriander add the complexity that is often lacking in beer of this sort.

The amount of sweetness is just about right, especially since the bottle is only 8.4 ounces small. Sugared strawberry puree dominates right out of the gate, coriander enters down the backstretch, and a twist of orange zest sneaks in at the finish. This is good stuff that the chicks should dig. The dudes too.

Mouthfeel matches flavor. In other words, it isn't thick and syrupy (just like the beer isn't cloyingly sweet), although there is a good bit of viscosity goin' on. The carbonation does just enough to be noticed.

More breweries should use witbiers as the base for their fruit beer. The added complexity makes them more interesting and more delicious. Thanks to BKIII for this generous, out-of-the-blue gift.

I just had a craving for fruit juice, but I didn't have any in my place. Then I remembered I had a bottle of Fuli that I bought a bit ago. I haven't actually had one of these other than sip or 2 from friends' drinks before and I remember it tasting almost like fruit juice. I'll see now.

Pours a hazy orange colour with hints of pink. Head is settles down a half inch. Colour of the head is pretty much white, but just tinted pink. Some lacing on the glass. Smells of sugary strawberries, almost like strawberry jam. Very sweet flavour. Fairly high carbonation, but it works well for this style. I really expected to have a bad review of this from what I remember, but this hits the spot as a fruit beer. I wouldn't regularly drink this, but if you feel like a carbonated fruit beverage, it is nice.

Pours a beautiful watermelon blush red with a creamy, cool 3 finger head that stays awhile. 95% opacity.

Smells like freshly diced strawberries and a dash of Splenda. There's a certain alcopop or wine cooler vibe to it here, but most of that gets washed out with some genuine strawberry.

Very nice strawberry sweetness up front with remnants of witbier characteristics - some grainy malts, a tiny bit of clashing coriander, and a dash of lime salt. It ends on bitter strawberry tops.

Feel clings and sticks to the palate like batter and dries politely while buzzing with carbonation and leaving a wet finish.

I'd gladly have this again. Borders on alcopop , but sometimes that's fun too.

on tap at lazyboy saloon white plains ny 8/17/11

a cranberry body with a white head. Sweet sugar and strawberries are the essence of this brew. Delicious aroma but how does it hold up. Chewy and sweet with a soft strawberry flavor. Well if this is what was set out to be done its a hell of a sugar sweet brew with a lingering sweetness. its honestly delicious, it tastes like a sweetened fruit juice, but with alcohol. im not sure i could really drink more than one of these, as far as beer goes it hardly seems as such but whatever it tastes dam good.

A Pours a hazy pink orange color with a little light pink head that sink immediately.

S - Strawberries, wheat, sugar.

T - Follows the nose with strawberry candy, sugar fruit compote, Sweet but dry on the aftertaste. Wheat adds a nice touch.

M - Very smooth medium body. Finishes dry and tart.

Drinks very good with a smooth feel and a nice finish. Reminds me of a strawberry rhubarb sauce that goes great on biscuits.

I poured a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance- Cloudy, dark pink color with a fingers worth of fizzy pinkish-white head. Fair amount of sticky lacing.

Smell- Strong smell of strawberry candy.

Taste- Sweet strawberry flavor and nothing else. Reminds me of a strong flavored strawberry soda pop.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied, smooth, and sticky. Very well carbonated.

Overall- The flavor doesn't really say "beer", but still enjoyable if you like the style. My wife wants to have these again.

Pours hazy dark pink with a light pink head that slowly descends to a thin, lasting cover. Some lacing sticks.

The smell is of strawberry shortcake with slight oranges (and peaches?).

The taste is sweet - so sweet I picture whipped cream on the strawberry shortcake that it reminds me of. The sweetness does have some balance with slight breadiness and a touch of coriander in the finish. Still, it remains sweet. Some orange peel is noticeable as it progresses.

The feel is spritzy - almost champagne-like. Light bodied. The flavor doesn't hang on too long.

Again, it reminds me of strawberry shortcake overall. It uses fruit juice, yet doesn't have that "artificial" taste. I wouldn't say this is one of the best of Belgium by any means, but it's a nice dessert brew.

Pours a strawberry pinkish red with a thick white head and a good amount of lacing. Smells of strawberries, wheat, and some acidity. Tastes of a full on strawberry blitz, sweet malts, and a good wheat body that is accented by a good medium body and a lively carbonation that makes the beer easy to consume.

A - pours a cloudy apricot amber, nearly no head at all with a moderate, becoming aggressive pour.

Smell - as expected, strawberries. It's mild and pleasant. Very little else comes through however.

Taste - not much traditional beer taste whatsoever. No presence of hops or barley that I can detect. As a beverage this is delicious, but I have a hard time viewing it as a beer. It's a tasty wine cooler that somehow skirted the technical classifications to cheat itself into a category to be labeled a "beer". I'm not mad at this beverage and am not detracting it in any category other than overall for the mere reason that it's enjoyable, but simply somewhat imposing on what it calls itself.

Mouthfeel - is tremendous. It possesses extremely crisp, prickly and refreshing carbonation with a perfectly dry aftertaste that allows its fruit flavor to linger for a second or so after.

Overall - a good drink but a questionable "beer"

When it comes to fruit beer, this one is pretty top of the list. Aroma is awash with strawberries. Pours a ruby red with minimal head. Flavour is obvious fruit, soft alcohol aftertones. The only fault is it is very thin on the taste and light on the mouthfeel. But for a summer afternoon on the patio, this would be ideal sipping beer.

Had this on tap at Max's Taphouse in Baltimore.

The looks like your average beer until you smell it. Smells like a spring strawberry field!

Tastes like a strawberry soda with a kick.

The favor lingers.

If I closed my eyes & turned off the noise in the bar, I wold swear I was in a meadow, drinking a strawberry soda plus (a bow to a line in Escape from the Planet of the Apes).

Pours a clear red color with little head.

Smells like sweet strawberries.

The taste is exactly what the nose said it would be. Very sweet, but not unpleasant.

It feels a bit soda-like in a good way. Lost of carbonation and a bit light.

Drinks like a strawberry smoothie. Not bad at all.

Pours a pale red colour with a bubbly off-white(very faintly pink) head. The head fades to a thick ring around the edge of the glass. The smell is strawberries. Lots of fresh strawberry. Fairly sweet and tart.

Taste is, much like the smell, strawberry! Surprise surprise. It's good though, a fairly natural strawberry flavour. The witbier to this beer is fairly well hidden. The finish is tart, not the distinct ending you'd expect from a belgian white.

Mouthfeel is thick in a syrup way. Almost a bit sticky. Carbonation is fair and works well for the beer. The only thing keeping this beer from being exceptionally drinkable is that I can't see myself wanting to drink a strawberry drink all night.

Pretty tasty brew, I don't regret picking it up.

This small 8.2oz brown bottle comes with a freshness date notched into the back label. This bottle is notched for the 4th week of March 2012, so it's still plenty fresh.

The beer poured a pale pink and slightly hazed strawberry color with a 1½-finger white head that dissipated rather quickly. Lacing was actually quite nice.

The smell is all fresh strawberries. Even though the label doesn't claim to use fresh strawberries, but rather fruit juice, orange peel, and coriander - all I get is fresh strawberries.

Strawberry-orange flavor, but lacking the traditional Belgian yeast tartness. No trace of the coriander spice they claim to use, just a sweet, juicy, strawberry flavor.

Light and refreshing. Sweet without being cloying. Medium carbonation level.

This one won't win any awards, but it's a tasty sweet treat that I enjoyed for what it is.

Poured into Delirium Tulip.

Light red/pink with little head.

Smell is major strawberry, very fruity, super sugary.

Taste is super super sweet, it’s like drinking soda. Very big strawberry and orange taste.

Honestly nothing like beer, more like putting juice in a Strawberry Fanta. Not good for a beer drinker, but personally, I love it.

Appearance is a cloudy dark red with a small amount of head. Smell is basically strawberry, maybe sweeter.

Taste is, well, strawberry. Picked up some spices but nothing really to identify it as beer. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Aftertaste, strawberry, although picked up some bitterness.

This is basically like strawberry fruit juice, it's good and goes down quickly. I would recommend it, a good introduction to Fruit Beers.

A - Looks interesting, a light red colour almost like a fruit cider.

S - Deep strong strawberry fragrance.

T - Tastes like ripe strawberries. Not very beer like but still very nice, almost addictive to the tongue!

M - A little bubbly but not much in comparison to a normal beer. Watery and a bit more like a soda than beer.

O - A tasty interesting beer. Not much going on in terms of complex flavours but easy to drink and nice if you have a sweet tooth.

If you ever wanted to drink a beer that tastes like strawberry milk, Fruli is the beer for you

pours a pinkish red color with a creamy head that is a few shades lighter than the beer.

the beer tastes like strawberries. extreme strawberries, and not just super sweetness like you find in most fruit beers. its a smooth drinker.

this is an excellent desert beer. i dont know if i could have more than one, simply because its more strawberry than beer.
