Colour and sight: pale blond, the fine and regular effervesce ensures a fine and stable head.
Scent: Slightly malty, a nice touch of alcohol, spicy.
Flavour: Feels like the sound shot of alcohol is igniting the mouth. In reality the tongue and palate are warmed. The taste is characterized by its roundness. The aftertaste is strong, long-lasting and dry bitter.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of yeast, banana, orange zeest, cloves, pepper, biscuits and honey.
The taste is sweet and dry with nice fruity and spicy notes allong with some light malt tones in the background. Alcohol is nicely hidden in the flavour. The finish has some slight bitterness and leaves a pretty decent aftertaste. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A really tasty belgian strong ale.

Perfect gold color. Vaporous head. Aroma and taste have an almost potpourri-like quality. But negligible bitterness and sweetness. No maltiness either. Delicious herbaceous flavor.

An absolute classic for a reason. I've always noticed a bit of cherry and a lot of clove in this beer and it's not as bitter as Duvel. This one needs to be served at cellar temp and not COLD in my experience. It makes a big difference in picking out the nuances of the yeast strain. An all-time favorite for me.
