A: Even a fairly gentle pour produces an aggressive white head, which fades but does not disappear entirely. Numerous vibrant, long-lived streams of bubbles appear in the semi-clear straw colored body.

S: Lots of tropical fruits; bananas and apricot prevail. Some peppery spices, and some definite yeast.

T: Previously mentioned fruit esters, a bit of spice (ginger?), and even a hint of sourness. As soon as the liquid is down my throat the aftertaste changes dramatically to an almost chalky, metallic taste, with a bit of the main flavors still there. Even these quickly fade. A difficult beer to taste due to its complexity but also its flavors' quick exit.

M: Quick-moving, medium bodied. Almost too much carbonation, I feel like I just ate a whole pizza.

O: You know you're in for a unique beer when the bottle is cream-colored with speckles. I can tell that there's quality behind this beer, and that some may even consider it a favorite, but it wasn't for me. The crisp appearance is extremely enticing, and the smell and first wave of flavors is very pleasant, but the aftertaste and high carbonation didn't suit me well. Like I said, I know that this beer is a good brew, (well suited to the style and to the palates of some) which is why I bumped up my 'overall' score higher than the individual categories would calculate out to, but overall it just isn't for me.

From the caged corked bottle number L03 12389. Sampled on July 27, 2013.

The pour is golden amber with a frothy white head that lingers and laces.

Ah those unique and expected Belgian esters are alive in this one with pale malts, candied sugar, spices, and maybe a bit of honey.

The body is full and creamy.

The taste has an upfront sweetness with a nod toward honey sweetness and some subtle and mild hops to finish with a low hop bitterness. I liked it very much.
