I drank this alongside sacfly at The Brick. For a fruit/vegetable beer, I seem to disagree with most on the appearance and smell. The alien hazy green was a very interesting color for a beer. The respectable head of small bubbles was as expected, but nothing to get excited about. Carbonation was high at first, but faded to the end of the bottle. The sweet "lime little hug" smell was also appealing probably because I expected this to be a sweet/lambic like beer.
Looking at and smelling this beer, however, is the best part of the experience. I cannot say for certain that this actually tastes like cactus, but if it does... I'll pass. It had a strange mixture of sweet and tart that left me wishing for a nice IPA to flush it out. There was no mouthfeel even at the begining of the bottle (what happened to all the carbonation at first pour?? Not even a fizzy mouthfeel!?!)
A disappointment.

Had at the Brickskeller in DC
Poured a hazy light green??? Light green head, small/medium bubbles. Smelled exactly like lime skittles. Tasted like lime pixie stix and margarita mix. Dry aftertaste. Not sure what this was supposed to be, but I cant imagine a cactus tasting like this This is a wine cooler gone mad. Even for a fruit/vegetable beer this one is awful.

Tasted this "brand new beer" on its first day of availability Sept. 4 2004 at the Delerium Cafe in Brussels, right before the Belgian Beer Paradise weekend. My gawd, this stuff is terrible. Alcopop is too nice of a term for it.
Appearance: a glowing radioactive green that probably is visible in a dark room. Slight head that quickly fades. Aroma- sweet sweet sweet artificial fruit flavors. Taste- reminds me of a cross between a Bartles & James wine cooler and cheap margarita mix. Is there really beer in there somewhere? Mouthfeel- give me another beer to clean out my palate, and quickly! Drinkability- not in this lifetime.
