Look: Poured unto a tall pub glass, 2 fingers of yellow-brownish white foam. Head lasted for a minute and vanished with little trace of lacing.

Smell: Very nice smell, from the bottle to the glass. A very strong baked chocolate cake-y smell with a strong hint of fruits.

Taste: Tastes weird. The chocolate tasted very artificial. The fruit was underwhelming. A bit bitter but not enough to overcome the sickening sweetness. Has a very good initial taste though the after taste was awful.

Feel: Very thin at first then suddenly very sugary thick after swallowing. A bad experience indeed.

Overall: Used it to add a bit of flavor to my banana bread, was good. I wouldn't drink this again but I may use it again for baking.

I really didn't like the Chocolate taste - however mixed with Floris Kriek (Cherries) you get an amazing tasting Black Forrest Gateaux beer

Bright dark amber color. Chocolate cordial aroma. A classic baking chocolate/cocoa finish that lingers on. Not bad.

Brown colour, a lot of acid. Strong chocolate flavour. For fruit beer lovers.

Hazy amber colour, poor head with no retention. Artificial aroma, with chocolate essence and darkj fruits. Thin palate, light body. Taste of chocolate, dark fruits and cider. Easy drinking, but nothing really special.

Oh, come on guys. It's not all that bad.

For the guy who says this is worse than Budweiser or Heineken or Stella, you're full of it, or maybe you actually like that kind of beer.

I've never tried another chocolate lambic before, but this beer is to a chocolate stout as a tootsie roll is to a Ferrerro Rocher.

And sometimes I feel like chewing a tootsie roll.

In fact, one reviewer said its "tootsie roll-like". I'd disagree. The flavor is 90% identical to a tootsie roll. And tootsie rolls taste like beery synthetic chocolate. It's a totally different flavor than Nesquick chocolate, which is to me what Rogue Double Chocolate tastes like, with a double helping of sugar (yuck).

With a light mouthfeel, this is a beer I actually enjoy on occasion. Still prefer it over almost all fruit lambics beside Lindeman's Kriek.

Thing is, lambics just aren't very good beers in general.
