Woah there boy, head explosion which gets it a 4.25 all by itself. The body pours a clear golden, and the head dissipates quickly but leaves great lacing.

Aroma is tricky to pick out given the effervescence filling your nostrils with alcoholic wafts. Mainly malt with light spices.

Taste is good, sharp and not quite as sweet as some similar triples. The malt and caramel notes are there, but the high alcohol dominates, very difficult to distinguish from its twin sister the delirium tremens.

Feel is a touch artificial, but that is the dry effervescence coming into play.

Overall a 4/5 every day, and given some of the previous reviews, I am not sure everyone realises this is a Delirium beer when all said and done.

Another Belgian Strong Pale Ale ? Yes please! The high abv (9%) is barely detectable. A foamy massive head reminiscent of Duvel, but doesn't equate it. Cheers and give this a try

From the bottle, it pours golden amber with a nice head, which leaves traces behind... Very light scent. Taste is pleasant with just a small indication of the massive punch of the alcohol. Dangerous!

Pours like a tripel with a nice towering foamy head. Hops come to the forefront with a nice snap. Aroma gives away the high ABV of this beer. Taste, other than the hops, is malt, bread and a little spiciness. Me likey!

33cl bottle with colourful cover art (typical for the brewery) and a standard pressure cap served into De Molen stemware in Belfort, France. Reviewed live.

A: Pours a three finger head of nice soft delicate cream, good fuzzy foamy thickness, and great retention for the high ABV. I'd estimate it at about five minutes. Colour is a cloudy orange-gold. Appealing.

Sm: Musty off-cream is all me broken nose picks up. All apologies, lads. It's a very light aroma.

T: Creamy open to orange peel citrus ester hop body atop a full and expressive barley foundation. Very clean and clear cut. Act breaks are precise, with a troublesome dying stale cream finish buried beneath the barley note's attempt to cover up the flaw. Well balanced albeit simply built. I wouldn't call it refreshing, but for 9% abv it's rather impressive in this regard. The orange ester in particular is a highlight of the taste.

Mf: Smooth and wet, but too thick. It's got too much body for the relative lack of hops. Aside from the overdone thickness, the texture suits the taste.

Dr: Very drinkable, especially for 9% ABV. The price is very reasonable by French standards, even though it's an import. It's a good evening beer. I'd have it again. All this said, it's something of a disappointment coming from the same brewery that does the Delirium series.
