Day old tasting notes.

L: A very dark brown with some visible ruby red highlights. One finger of tan, perhaps khaki head.

S: Sweet malt. A bit of toatisness. Very sweet smelling.

T: A lot of dark fruit: plum, fig, date. Not much actual roast or coffee but a fair bit of milk chocolate. I also get a substantial english-type/earthy/metallic hop profile. Balanced toward the sweet side of things.

F: Body is far to thin for a porter IMO. A bit thin but carbonation is okay and doesn't make the beer too prickly.

O: It was okay. Maybe a bit to sweet and thin bodied for my liking, but okay.

Opaque dark brown color with no visible activity. Creamy beige 2 finger head, lasting around 10-15 minutes, with strong legs.

Aromas of sweet dark fruits, toffee, oaky, and a little floral. Flavors of molasses, caramel, cocoa, grapes and berries, cherry, slight lemon, herbal spices. A little sweet with heavy roasted earthy bitterness and slightly vinous.

Milky slick medium body with some perfect carbonation for the style. Strong and long finish, ending with highly spiced roasted earthy herbal bitter feel lasting on the tongue and some oaky woody feel.

Overall a good craft offering good strong flavors, acceptable freshness, while not very accessible due to being a little overly spicy and sour.

Deep brown with reddish highlights - aroma and flavour dominated by dried fruits - raisins, dates, prunes.
