Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral hoppy notes with some caramel malt is refreshing. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with some floral hoppy notes and limited bitterness. Some green notes are noticeable but not overly so. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very enjoyable if maybe at tad too sweet for my own taste.

Pours a vaguely hazy amber with three fingers of thick beige head like whipped cream that settles to a solid inch after quite a while. Very good retention; some swooping lacing. (4.25)

Fresh citrus and herbs. Lemon zest, rusty water, spices, herbs. (4)

Bready, sappy, green. Lemongrass, earthy, resinous, orange zest, biscuity malt, pepper. (4)

Really coating and resinous with a velvety well.carbonated medium body. Rich and full, hoppy but not too bitter. Long sappy finish. (4.25)

Very good take on a 'harvest ale' (in this case a rich amber IPA).
This is a rich and filling beer with a lot of good bready malt flavors but which is very hoppy as well.
The beer pours very nice with a lovely cap of creamy foam. The nose is very 'green'. Lots of herbal, weed-smelling, sappy aromas, with citrus. The beer taste similar to the nose but with a pleasing rich body and lots of good malt flavors. The hops here come through as sticky and resinous more than anything else, but it is good. The beer is a pleasure to drink but after a while started to wear a little on my palate. Other than that, excellent beer. I am glad I found it fresh and will look forward to it in the future.
I will be heading back for this and the other version of it soon; worth trying if you find it.
Thank god that QC breweries are getting better about putting dates on bottles. : )

In all fairness this bottle was 5 months old - perhaps even a bit past its prime...
