Crystal clear light gold body. Fizzy white head, little retention. Very active carbonation.

Grassy and herbal hop aroma with characteristic pale malt.

Flavor mirrors the scent, add a dash of pine. Definitely grassy, a little grainy.

Crisp, light mouthfeel. Clean.

A hoppy session, indeed. It's exactly what I expected. It laid it's claim, and that's what it is.

Thanks to Thomas & Jenny for sharing the growler!
Quick review from written notes.

Splashed into a tulip glass, it pours a bright pale golden orange. Thin layer of white skim and a thin ring around the edges. Sharp clarity.

Floral grassy hop aroma, fairly understated with some pale malt sweetness noticeable also.

Mild grassy hop bitterness, clean pale malt, dry bitter finish. Taste is a bit subtle, it's light bodied and very drinkable. Not much hop complexity, just a lean and simple textbook session pale, which both these breweries excel at.

Yet something unique seems to be missing that would set it apart from the rest of their respective outputs of endless pale ales.

32oz growler poured into a Maine Beer Company stemmed wine glass.

The beer pours a lightly hazy golden straw color, a few bubbles rising to the top of the glass. A loose scattering of bubbles appears but generally there is no head and almost no lace left behind. However, the deeper into the growler I got, more of a head with better retention that yields some spotted lace. The aroma is pleasant, soft bready malt, cracked cereal grain, light citrus, touch of floral hops, but this is very light and delicate, not unexpected for a session ale. The flavors are nice, soft hops, citrus and wildflower with a bit of earthy resin, pale grain, bready malt, crisp and refreshing. The body is okay, it coats the mouth okay, lighter carbonation, a touch of prickly zip, but generally, it's somewhat unenthusiastic and finishes somewhat boringly.

Verdict: A refreshing beer from both Half Acre and Maine Beer Co, but it's hardly an inspired beer. Definitely great for a warm day or in this case, a warm late spring evening.
