In a dark corner of the Uniplex there’s lies a region where disparate forces fold into and quarrel with one another; A place where energies blend into a deformity of unknown quantity...
Gigantic and Half Acre Present A Ginormous and Big Hugs Saga: GRIMALKIN AMORPHOTRON
A melded, single skinned war creature, half Mecha, half Kaiju, that lives to walk the dark lands. We offer you its liquid rite:
Some parts imperial stout, some features Double IPA.
A black beer north of the 10% ABV equatorial dividing line.
Munich, Pale and Roasted Malts mix with Naked Oats to embolden its torso.
Crystal, Mosaic and Simcoe hops empower its limbs.
A warrior’s brewhouse schedule paves the way for a time honored cellar regime.
A secondary layer of dry hops combs its coat to realize its exterior sheen.
Its yours now. Tame its wild nature and live within its power.

This beer was a collaboration with Gigantic Brewing from Portland, OR. A black colored ale with a tan, bubbly head. Streaked lacing. The aroma is cocoa, espresso, molasses, and toasted malt. Deep, rich flavor. Vanilla bean, espresso, chocolate, malt, spice, and a hint of hops bitterness at the end. This beer is amazing. It's the richest dark ale I've had in awhile. Like a stout, but the hops gives it an IIPA quality as well. Delicious!

Looks good, tastes crisp, dark and roasty. Not as great as I was expecting it to be but not bad.

Received in a trade and was surprised. Wasn't sure what it was actually. Poured dark brown with a beautiful tan head. Has an abundant hop smell on the nose and then a slight chocolate black licorice smell. Very pleasing taste, smooth malts on the palate with chocolate and the punches with the bitter hops in the back of the mouth. Nice medium feel on the tongue. Overall a really nice beer.

Tan head. Black in color. Lots of lace left.
This beer reminds me a lot of a black IPA. Huge stout base with caramel, chocolate and roasted malts. Coffee. Then a bunch of resiny hops. Sticky and juicy. Grapefruit.
Medium to full bodied. Creamy with some bitterness.
Decent for a black IPA.

A - Pitch black pour, sticky lacing, and lots of legs.
S - Dark malt and citrus.
T - This is where it really shines. Some earthiness, roasted malt, tangerine, tropical fruit alcohol presence, some sticky pine resin.
M - Big, full body, gentle and velvet-like, viscous, lip smacking sticky.
O - This is a fantastic beer that morphs the lines between styles. Brilliant.

Poured out as a nice black color with a tan head on top. The smell of the beer has some chocolaty roast on the nose mixed with a good amount of hops on the nose. The taste of the beer is balanced between the hops and roasted malts. The feel of the beer is medium bodied. Overall it's a solid brew.
