Pours a golden yellow orange with a slight haze.

Grassy and earthy hop aromas, with notes of citrus zest.

Toasted malt sweetness, grassy and citrusy hop notes.

Light-bodied, medium carbonation, crisp.

Overall, quite enjoyable.

Canned 1/03/18

Pours a decent foamy fizzy almost 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, a touch of lacing, slight hazy golden color

Nose a bit of dank grassy hops, mild herbal spicy, some citrus rind, crackery malts and wheat perhaps, faint generic citrusy fruity aromas.

Taste starts with a bit of sweetness, sweet candy like malts, a little toasted crackery malt, then hops, nice citrus, stone fruit and a bit of tropical notes, papaya, mango, tangerine, juicy ripe peach, a touch of canteloupe, a bit spicy herbal later, fair bitterness in the middle and increasing to pretty bitter on the dry but sticky finish

Mouth is med bod, a bit softer, decent carb

Overall not bad, nose was really muted and probably a bit on the older side, taste was nicer but not incredible.

Canned 1/2/18

Golden yellow, clear.

Smells malty, metallic. A hint of citrus.

Taste at first is mix of malt and bitterness. Bready. Metallic. A little bit of fruit flavor as it warms, not much.

Light to medium bodied. Semi sticky. Lingering aftertaste.

Probably least favorite from half acre. One dimensional and lacks any real hop character other than some bitterness. Malts carry more flavor than anything else.

01/02/2018 stamped on the can on the bottom. $3.99 a can at: Craft Beer Cabin, Plattsburgh, New York.
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a bright golden color with a sustaining quarter finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off mildly. A touch of concave lace stuck around the top nicely and then slid off with the sips.
The aroma spoke of sweet tropical fruity hops that seemed to come across more mango-like as it warmed with a nice hoppy sliding bitterness, somewhat rind-like but with a touch of juicy white grapefruit.
The flavor was semi-juicy through the mango and white grapefruit. Sturdy bitterness shaved off some of the sweetness of the tropical fruits. Light tropical fruity aftertaste with a little bit of hoppy bitterness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, just a touch lower than expected. ABV felt close to what was projected. Nice semi-smooth finish of the juicy tropical sweetness.
Overall, extremely nice AIPA almost a New England styled one, not sure if that's what Half Acre was going for, but this is definitely one that I'd have again.

Consumed 2/5/18

A: Medium gold with some tangerine tones - some chill haze, otherwise bright and clear - pours with a medium size off-white head, fades to wisps with an above-average collar, leaves great lacing

S: Nicely hoppy, with some citrus and tropical notes - tangerine and orange with a touch of candy citrus - some grapefruit zest - fruit punch aroma - some tropical juice notes, with some ripe peach, mango, and passion fruit - some slight green and herbal hops, but fruit punch really dominates - slightly earthy - some pale malts and some touches of caramel

T: Juicy without being a modern juice bomb, if that phrase makes any sense - nice amount of citrus, with some juicy tangerine and orange with some notes of grapefruit zest, flesh - touch of oil - notes of fruit juice, including fresh peach, mango, melon, and maybe a spritz of lime - medium level of bitterness - some herbal green hops and a touch of earth, spice - nice malt base, not just a neutral pale flavor - some nice notes of caramel malt and caramel grain which adds to the overall sweetness in a nice way

M: Medium body, fairly smooth, clean finish

O: Like Farmer Wave?

I can't resist trying Half Acre beers when given the opportunity. Plane Wave is unique and uniquely well-done. It's fruity and on the sweet side without losing any Midwest sensibilities about fruity IPAs. This is nicely balanced and very drinkable. It's too bad I may never see it in MA again.

At first I pour the beer into a tulip, but it actually looked better and tasted better into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Honey colored, three finger head, decent head retention.

At warmer temperatures, the flavors of the beer broaden.
The aroma: citrus, slightly sweet, tropical, earthy, and Grapefruit.

Easy to drink MF. Tangy.

Excellent taste: citrus, tropical fruit, grapefruit, with a good hoppy finish.

Overall, quite enjoyable to drink.

Can dated 01/02/18 into pint glass. Pours a clear amber with a decent off-white head that reduces to a cap fairly quickly. Initial impression is citrus, tropical fruits, and a touch of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium. CArbonation is a tad on the high side for my tastes and for the style. Finish yields a slight lingering bitterness. Definitely worth seeking out!
