Notes: Brewed to hum, targeting resin and blazing forest fruits, we used our house 2-row, Vienna, malted oats and malted wheat alongside Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic hops for expressive mango, citrus and peach qualities with a stabilizing dankness.

Finally a beer I KNOW I’m gonna like just from the smell from the can. Wow, you got citrus, dank and onion and sweetness, this is a deep nose here. Dankness comes through on the flavor along with citrus notes and just some mild bitterness. I’d like a bit more sweetness but that’s me. Decent amount of carbonation if not the slightest bit thin.

This beer is out of retirement! Another kick butt DIPA from Half Acre. I do like Deep Space over Wand, but Wand is a close second. Wand has a bit more bite. I think it must have a higher IBU.

a: hazy dark orange color with some burnt yellow. large, 2 finger rocky white head

s: sweet malts, pineapple, pine, tea leaf, strawberry, spruce, resin, caramel, and some caramelized sugar

t: follows the nose pretty close. pine, spruce, oranges, strawberry and dry crackers. a touch of earthy grass and tea leaf as well

m: lighter side of medium with lower than medium carbonation

o: a bit light or a DIPA. a touch light in the mouthfeel, and a touch light on the malts (for me). it's a good beer, and has all the flavors of a DIPA, the mouthfeel is just lacking a bit

16 oz. can. Pours lightly hazy orange. Smells of tropical fruits for a brief moment before dank and pine hops. Some caramel malt and a dose of alcohol. Tastes, again, very briefly of tropical fruit before dank hops. Maybe more of a garlic flavor than dank, but the dank aroma still points the palate in that direction. Tropical fruit makes a brief appearance with a caramel malt and honey sweetness. Garlic hop bitterness and alcohol linger in the finish. Medium heavy. Low carbonation. If it weren't quite so boozy, I might really enjoy this. The profile is right up my alley, but the alcohol flavor is too strong.

16 oz. Can
CANNED ON: 08/29/19

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow/orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach), nice little diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach), nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very nice brew. Nice to see it around here.

This is on the fruity side of the double IPA spectrum. Soft, sweet, pineapple notes. Bitter hops is mellowed by the sweeter notes.
Nothing crazy or revolutionary is going on here. It's a solid, pretty easy drinking 7.8% alcohol brew.

Canned 10/25/18

Pours a nice pillowy foamy 1+ finger head that fades slowly, great retention and lacing, mostly clear slight sediment laden pale blond almost straw color

Nose loads of juicy citrusy hops and pine resin as well, some onion pine dankness mixes with nice citrus, stone fruit, grapefruit, and mild tropical notes, a touch of malt sweetness and alcohol

Taste brings more hops out front, a little sweet malt balance with touch of warming alcohol, hops get a bit dank again with more mild vegetal onion and pine, but also brings mild citrus, more fruity flavors stone fruit and grapefruit with a little generic tropical and papaya, and hint of berry, getting slightly spicy later as well as grassy, a touch of creamy oat and toasted wheat characters, drier but slight sticky finish

Mouth is med to fuller bod, a little creamy silky but not much, decent carb, little warming alcohol

Overall eh, hops mix good characters with that earthy dank pine and onion of the Mosaic, could be a lot better without that, but otherwise a decent base beer

16oz can, stamped "WOTO: PROSAIC 10/25/18. Frothy off-white head slowly fades atop a copper colored ale; thick lacing cakes to the side of the glass. Sweet & juicy aroma of mango, pineapple, citrus, and pine. Hop forward in flavor while being heavy on mango & pineapple; orangey citrus, a hint of grapefruit, pine, honey, and light caramel round out the flavors. Medium-full body, ample carbonation, resinous with a moderately bitter finish. Great DIPA - buy it if you see it.
