16 oz. Can
Canned On: 08/25/20

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy dark golden orangy/yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, apricot), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, apricot), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Glad to see it around here.

Served in a tulip glass from the can.

Appearance: A ridiculous opaque/hazy gold is very cloudy with deep medium bubbles to the body creating a white head initially rising half of one finger's length off the body.

Smell: Light malt aroma, hoppy as well which is good but light.

Taste: Like a bitter bread coupled with heavy doses of malt and citrus hop feel to the brew.

Mouth: Touch dry with deeper citrus finish, after-taste just is brutally sticky pairing it with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Overall: Another gem by Half Acre, definitely a must grab for any NEIPA fan, always in a glass. Salud!

16oz can, dated 08.25.2020, poured into a Half Acre "occult" snifter glass.

The beer pours a very hazy and cloudy orange color, thick and turbid with a foamy white head, about two fingers tall with good retention and stripes of lacing. The aroma is nice, tropical fruits, lots of doughy malt, warm booze, very floral and sweet with assertive yeast, light pine and earthiness lingers. The flavors are good, orange juice, tropical puree, very sweet with lots of yeast, pale dough, alcohol and wildflower bouquet. There is a bit of citrus sharpness and acidity that brings out the earthy and more bitter flavors, but this beer definitely has a balance problem. The mouthfeel is good, coating and lively with a heavier medium body that is substantive and finishes with a nice warm and dry bite.

Verdict: A nice DIPA from Half Acre. A bit heavy and very sweet, certainly shows off the 8.5% ABV but it does have a nice tropical profile and just enough earthy and green flavors to help moderate the flavors.

L - Golden dense, opaque, not the usual unfiltered look from HA.
S - Golden tropical citrus fruits, weed, pineapple, a little Earth-pine lurking
T - OK, this is where the wall of tropical DDH hops comes through; while it can seem a little single-note if you like "plush" citrus (yeah some coconut here...sigh) DIPAs, this is definitely for you, and i like it more than the FSDDC they put out a month or two ago. This is more like it, and the Sabro is well hidden; so annoying woody or coconut note.
F - Damn, this is like old Cadillac leather in the mouth. I mean that in a good way. There's a plushness to the mouthfeel that I haven't felt in a few months. Nice. Might be the highlight of this beer and it doesn't end too sweet.
O - A great DIPA, a little too smooth, and that 8.5% creeps up on you if you drink it too fast, but it's really balanced.

Can from Whole Foods on the UES. Pours murky and hazy peachy orange/gold, with generous bubbly white head that sticks around, smell is candied orange peel, orange zest, soft caramel, hints of dank mango and peach, taste follows the nose with citrus hard candy, grapefruit flesh, grapefruit zest, finishes with hints of papaya and caramel cremes/bulls-eye and lingering zest, feel is full bodied with creamy carbonation. Like biting into a caramel covered grapefruit. Yoom!

Canned on 9-03-20.

A - Pours an opaque, dark golden tan color with thick creamy white lacing that clings tot he glass.

S - Juicy citrus, tangerine, red grapefruit, and tropical fruit.

T - All dank citrus and tropical fruit from start to finish. Peppery citrus rind, juicy red grapefruit, tangerine, lime, peach, orange, and pineapple. Ends on the sweeter, juicier side with a nice lingering peppery citrus rind.

M - Thick and dry on the finish while leaving the mouth dry after the sip. The 8.5% ABV is completely hidden in this beer.

O - This is an impressive D-IPA from Half Acre and well worth a try. A little pricey at $19.99 for a 4-pk, I was hesitant but have no regrets.

16oz can pour into beer chalice. Color of hazy apricot leaning orange. Soft creamy head, light lacing. Tropical sweetness on nose, Fruity aromas. Smooth on palate with increased Citra finishes with a decided hop bite. Very close to a N/E Dbl IPA. Delicious.

Deep orange, opaque appearance with big amount of foam upon aggressive pour, which sticks around for a bit. The aroma is possibly the most tropical, juicy aroma out of any DIPA I've had. It's very pleasant. Taste follows the tropical flavors with a great, mildly dry but full, mouthfeel. Characteristics of Half-Acre DIPAs are there with the NE IPA twist.

Among their best beers.
