16oz can. Bottom stamping of '111722D 3020 16:4? JONESY'.
Black colored body with a wider red mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of tan head, and this becomes a rocky cap and ring. Leaves behind some isolated clouds of lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, molasses, milk chocolate, and coffee.
Taste is an initial wave of dark chocolate and coffee, followed by a long lasting wave of dark molasses and coffee. Touches of vanilla, dark fruit, and black licorice.
Thicker mouth feel, with a silky and smooth texture. Light and airy in the mouth. Not much for alcohol. Good carbonation.
Drinks like heavy cream. Overall a sweet stout.

2023 Version:
Appearance: Pours a completely dark color with a massive dark tan head that lingers forever like soap in a bathtub. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of rich, chocolate and coffee upfront. Some hints of roast underneath.
Flavor: strong flavors of rich, dark chocolate and coffee, roast and mocha. Smooth chocolate and some hints of toffee and vanilla. Mostly rich chocolate with a nice balance of coffee. Finishes sweet with a mild roast.
Feel: Medium body, average carbonation, finishes, smooth, mildly sweet, and mildly roasted.
Overall: Excellent balance of flavor, sweetness and roast. Non-overpowering, and very dynamic.

2022 Review:
Appearance: Pours a completely dark color with a massive dark tan head that lingers forever like soap in a bathtub. (4.50)
Aroma: Strong aromas of coffee upfront. This is followed by chocolate, cocoa, smooth dark malts. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of coffee balanced by rich cocoa, chocolate, creamy malt body. Mild roast, but ultimately the malt are the show here and finishes sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Heavier-bodied, strong, but creamy mouthfeel. Mild bitterness. Largely soft and creamy on the palate. (4.25)
Overall: Half Acre does some great things so I shouldn't have expected anything less from this one. The pour is perfect. Nice and strong coffee, chocolate, cream. Soft and smooth body. Sort of reminds me of Founders Breakfast stout, but slightly more roast and dryness. similar though. Maybe a head to head is in order. What's really impressive here is the coffee doesn't overpower the beer. Great one here from Half Acre. (Rating: 4.21)

16oz can from my brother. Dark brown pour, thick fluffy beige head subsides some, streaky lacing. Chocolate and roast malts vie for your attention in the aroma. Roasty malts with a hint of coffee kick off the taste. Light chocolate, bitter, faint sweetness. Full, creamy feel.

PItch black; huge creamy tan head like a marshmallow. Great retention and sheets of lacing.
The nose isn't super aromatic, but I get some chocolate, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, maybe some raisin.
Incredible flavor. Dark chocolate hits upfront, some cocoa powder bitterness, hints of vanilla, espresso. The coffee isn't pleasant but doesn't dominate the malt and base beer. Then has some of the soy sauce thing, and faint prune and raisin. Licorice. Moderate roasted coffee bitterness carries through the finish. Isn't particularly sweet for its 10% abv, but it's not acrid from coffee roast, either.
The mouthfeel is silky smooth, creamy, and lightly carbonated.
This is an excellent coffee imperial stout. Tastes like a less hoppy Ten Fidy with a splash of coffee.

2021 version.
Pours deep black, with wonderful carbonation and a tan, three finger head of foam that leaves fantastic lacing behind that must be seen to believe. Aroma is dark malt, chocolate and coffee swirled together. Taste is rich, complex with no one flavor overpowering the other. Notes of chocolate and coffee dominate, with low bitterness. This is one of the more drinkable coffee stouts and well worth the experience.

Maybe I need to rate a fresher one. 2018 is slightly thin and a bit flavorless. Will try it again tonight. Roasty and tasty, but not very strong.
