Served in a tulip glass from the can.

Appearance: Semi cloudy brew with medium bubbles to the body rising roughly half a finger's length off the body coming off a white color.

Smell: Floral and citrus, more on the citrus skin side of things.

Taste: Light more with heavy citrus and I know I this might sound monotonous but super citrus consisting of grapefruit and orange skin. Slightly sweet but doses of bitter.

Mouth: medium to full body with a subtle carbonation. Malty, finish makes you think this is a true thirst quencher.

Overall: Good brew, actually very good brew. Don't remember how much I paid for it but when I see it I will be on the re-up as we day in New York. Salud!

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #87 (Apr 2014):

Intense, Bitter, Boozy, Brash

Appropriately named after a folding Spanish fighting blade Navaja cuts deep with its hop sharpness. Bitterness is unrelenting with layers of hop flavor that makes for a longer finish. Warmth from the alcohol reminds us sip to sip that this is truly a DIPA. Big Cheers to Half Acre!

Really nice as most HA beers are. Heavy Melon, incredibly hidden Alcohol, really nice and well done. 10% only known because it's written. Excellent double worthy of the extra $. New England Style & West Coast style had a baby ish... Excellent!

This is a very intense DIPA and I must say that the dankness is so over the top that it comes across as some pungent nail polish that is very off-putting. If you like intense flavors and aroma than that's a beer for you. Half Acre is one of my favorite breweries but this one is not a beer I'd pick again without some hesitation.

This beer poured a slightly hazy gold color. There was a moderate white head with good retention.
Dank, citrus, tropical fruit aroma.
Wow! taste. Mango, melon, grapefruit, a lot of malt. This is just so much fun to drink. Would never have guessed 10% ABV.

Tall can....PKGD 1/10/16....so a little over a month in the can

Pour is on the lightly hazed side, lighter, near yellowy amber, light khaki cap, lasting nicely, then leaving low sheeting and some scattered mini fields and strands of lacing

Hopped up nose with tropical fruit salad coming to mind, as well as a back note of onions/scallions

Bold and flavorful brew with more ripe tropical fruit notes, more scallions, some minty bite and a resiny finish...well crafted and highly enjoyable stuff...

Pours clear, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is papaya, pine, pale malt, and grapefruit. Heavy bodied, slightly bitter, with moderate carbonation. Makes for an above average imperial IPA. While I prefer other IPAs and Half Acre beers more, this is worth a try.

Copper colored with three quarters of an inch of lightly tan, tightly knit foam on top. The aroma is of citrus and tangerine. The taste is plenty of citrus and tangerine hops along with some light malt. The mouth is moderately sticky, chewy, and resinous.

S - Mango hop sweetness, pineapple, slight grapefruit, lemon peel. Good sweet nose

T - Sweet mango, pineapple, caramely sweetness, and strawberry. Light pine on the backend that gives it a good bitter presence that lingers on the backend.

M - Medium syrupy beer with a light hop resin in the finish

O - Good IPA from HA with a good fruit presence to it. Nice and sweet IPA with a light bitter presence that balances it out.

Taste - Wow what a lovely balance of grapefruit and malts

Mouthfeel - very very smooth and easy to drink

Overall - Sure glad I got one of these in a trade. Would drink again any time
