Pours orange with a little fog to it. Head formation is two and a half fingers and white with good retention. Very little lacing. Aroma is orange and tangerine with biscuit malts. The citrus start fades a little to let the malts show more before leaving way for a citrus finish. Flavor profile is orange and tangerine. Biscuit malts show up secondary, just before finishing with a resiny, tangerine hop taste. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a fine graininess and fizziness to it. Overall, a flavorful pale ale with a citrusy, sweet start, and a bitter, resiny finish. Nice dynamic between the two.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

16oz can into Gulden Draak tulip.

A: Pours a fairly clear golden tangerine color with a couple fingers of very oily, fresh, and greasy looking white head that took its time fading into a soft, greasy, film and lingering collar. A sticky network of thick lace was left down the glass.
S: Fresh, juicy, and sweet smelling notes of sweet citrus. I get notes of tangerine, sweet orange, and a moderate amount of tropical fruit. Resinous and sticky hop oil pokes through especially as the beer warms.
T: Follows the nose with dominating hoppy flavors of sweet citrus tangerine/clementine mixed with naval orange juice, tropical fruit nectar, and hint of grapefruit rind. The finish is full of resinous hop oils with a slight dank and pine-like edge. Malt backbone is pale, crisp, and light, without any overly caramely, toasted, or malty flavors, so the fruity hops notes really shine.
M: Medium body with a greasy, sticky, slick, but drying mouthfeel that goes down smooth. Soft, creamy carbonation has a nice chew to it. Bitterness and alcohol mix in the finish, but neither are harsh or distracting, and in fact, the alcohol is hidden quite well.
O: As delicious and easy to drink dipa as best as the rest. I much preferred this over double daisy cutter. The alcohol is very well hidden, and the flavors are bright and smooth.

Nice mango orange blush. Fluffy white head of 2 fingers, doesn't fade fast at all.

Nice aromas of galaxy hops; Also mango, pineapple, orange, orange peel.

Flavor starts off nice and juicy, but fades to melted plastic almost immediately. Lots of super glue. Slight onion, garlic, feet.

Feel is creamy and moderately carbonated.

Overall, anything that tastes like melted plastic and super glue, despite its redeeming fruity qualities is pretty much a drain pour. I'll see how the other one holds up, but I'm pretty sad here.

Can poured into fluted snifter.

Aroma has hint of booze, caramel sweetness, and earthy resinous hops. Not much fruit, hint of candied peach. Old school DIPA aroma.

Malt sweetness up front, hint of caramel and toffee, hint of bready malts and piney resin hops. Canned peaches and a hint of booze.

Moderate carbonation and a bit higher than medium bodied.

Nice old school DIPA flavors, smooth for the ABV.

Tall can....PKGD 1/10/16....so a little over a month in the can

Pour is on the lightly hazed side, lighter, near yellowy amber, light khaki cap, lasting nicely, then leaving low sheeting and some scattered mini fields and strands of lacing

Hopped up nose with tropical fruit salad coming to mind, as well as a back note of onions/scallions

Bold and flavorful brew with more ripe tropical fruit notes, more scallions, some minty bite and a resiny finish...well crafted and highly enjoyable stuff...

Can from Noble Grains NYC on the UES
Slightly hazy amber orange, smells like malty sticky pine sap, musty hops, booze, hints of cooked peaches, taste is malty sweet up front then musty gin like bitterness, finishes with candied hops, thick and creamy. Solid OG DIPA, malty bitter equilibrium.

Poured a 16 oz can into a snifter. Can is stamped " To the moon! 1/10/17". Pours an amber/copper color with a hint of haze. Smell is very pungent with tropical, citrus, papaya and slightly lingering chemical smell that I get from a Lagunitas IPA (but much stronger). This DIPA definitely is in its own category...not quite east coast and not quite west coast. I guess Chicago is making its mark. Taste is a little sweet with some bitterness...goes down dangerously easy. mouthfeel is very very light and smooth. Overall a very different DIPA that I would definitely seek out again. It's great in its own way....my favorite Half Acre brew to date.

Picked this up randomly at City Swiggers when I saw a bunch of other people buying it.

Look: Beer comes in a light copper color with very light haze and about a pinky of bright white head.

Aroma: lots of honey sweetness with some peach in there as well.

Taste: taste follows the nose but it's less flavorful than the nose would suggest. That said it has a nice piney bitterness perfectly counter acts the sweetness you get on the aroma making this beer super drinkable.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation here but not much creaminess

Overall(style points): This beer very much sits in its own category. Its definitely not a NE style IPA but I would call it a west coast style either. The honey sweetness on the nose complements the piney bitter taste very nicely. Definitely my favorite Half Acre beer 89 points.

Cloudy, smooth, citrusy. Brilliant orange in color. Smells of piney fruit. An excellent drinking double IPA that does not overwhelm with alcohol. In my top 5 of DIPA's in 2016
