Deep saturated orange color, hazy with a compact layer of meringue-textured foam. A thick halo of lace coats the glass and drips downwards.

Hops are pungent though not super aggressive. Floral greenery, fruity, with an undercurrent of pale malt also present.

A fruity and citric bitterness, grapefruit, citrus zest, the bitterness is moderate but the beer is pretty smooth overall.Dry finish, light bitter marmalade notes linger. Very light and drinkable, with well integrated hop character.

A-Clear orange, not much carbonation, one finger head, tries to leave behind some lacing.

S-Toasty/wheat then dank tropical hops. Citrus and slight grass.

T-The yeast gives it a wheat/straw/toast like start as you'd expect from a Kolsch. Then the hops take over with citrus and tropical notes. Very dank, Nice bitterness and balance. Some lemon as well.

M-Medium bodied, nice carbonation, good hop bite.

O-Moasic hops are amazing. Then combining them with the Kolsch yeast makes for a very interesting experience.

22 oz. bottle served in a Half Acre snifter. Bottled less than a week ago.

A: Pours a clear orange color with some yellowish hues to the body. A white head forms on the pour and recedes to a thick cap. Sticky sheets of a lace are left down the glass.

S: The Kolsch yeast is present on the nose with a slight hint of that German style hop. Light amounts of cat pee with a fruity twist. Some light cracker malts with a hint of sweetness as well.

T: The Mosaic hops are much more present on the taste than the nose. Fruity, light hints of citrus and a little bit of sweet lemon. Restrained Kolsch yeast with a smooth cereal grain malt sweetness to it.

M: Light bodied with a medium carbonation level. Smooth and extremely drinkable. "Crushable" if you will. Nice sweet finish.

O: The Mosaic hops really shine through in the taste while the malts bring in a nice sweetness to balance it out. I'm enjoying the high drinkability of this. I'd like to see this a more regular brew, or at least a yearly release as I think it's good enough to warrant it.

Got a bottle during the GDDC release. Light bodied Pale Ale. Dry mouthfeel, with an interesting woody malt backbone flavor. Nice berry fruit hop taste.

Picked up a 32oz growler at Half Acre yesterday. Served in a Jack's Abby pint glass. Apparently this is an APA made with Kolsch yeast; not sure if it was lagered though.

A - Big white foam settles to a thick cap and collar, leaving behind tons of splotchy lacing. Transparent golden body with some visible bubbles.

S - Aroma has the expected citrus zest, tropical fruit, and pine character that I get from Mosaic hops, but with a distinctive earthy yeast note. Bready malts and a slightly doughy round things out.

T - Taste is a bit more classic pale ale, with doughy and lightly toffeed malts balanced by tropical and orange zest hopping. Low bitterness, with a bit of toasted grain in the finish.

M - Medium body, with crisp, lower moderate carbonation. Dry, crisp, and clean, with a surprising hint of warmth to it.

D - Really easy to drink. Kolsch yeast is understated, and dissipates in the aroma as the beer warms up. I like it, although it's certainly more of a balanced pale ale than Half Acre's typical fare.

Appearance is crystal clear golden color with smallish head but the sample is a bit dated so it may have been better fresh. Some spotty lacing is left behind.

Aroma consists of fruit and German hop with a sour snap.

The taste produces a slightly fruity, earthy hop flavor with nice malt balance and a long bitter finish. Nice flavor from the yeast too. Reminiscent of the Mikkeller collaboration hoppy lager. The well attenuated lager taste with fruity esters mixed in for good measure. This is a unique and tasty combination.

Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Very refreshing with a medium carbonation.

A great changeup beer and hopefully will be a repeat offering. Nice one HA.
