13oz snifter at the tap room.
A - White foam settles to wisps, collar, and minimal lace. Hazed lemonade colored body.
S - Lots of lemonade present, as well as a faint ginger note; odd, as the bartender told me there was no ginger added to the cask. Doughy malts and light floral hopping that you'd expect from Gossamer.
T - The taste is again a nice mix of lemonade, cereal grains, a hint of floral hop, and some pale malt sweetness in the finish. Not sure if the lemonade added was sweetened, but the mixture has a nice balance of sweet and tart flavors.
M - Lower cask-style carbonation, medium body, and a dry texture mid-palate with lingering stickiness. Might work better on-tap.
D - It's in the top five shandies I've ever had. Not quite Stiegl Grapefruit Radler territory, but pretty refreshing all the same. I'd buy this if Half Acre put it in cans. Neat experiment, although perhaps some citrusy hops in the cask might make a nice addition.
