Reviewed from memory of many a recent visit to Prohibition Pig in Waterbury, Vt.

A: Beautiful golden orange, reminiscent to a very well-done IPA or APA.

S: Hoppy enough to be an IPA, my guess is there's some Simcoe in there.

T: Very similar to the Rock Art Farmer's Simcoe IPA, another well done, hoppy beer from Rock Art. Fruity, citrusy hops with an adequate malt backbone.

M: Supple and very adequate.

O: Rock Art continues to exceed my previously meager expectations. This and Farmer's Simcoe are among their best. Try this if you are lucky enough to find yourself at Pro Pig, it's a steal--but not as much as it was on its inaugural day, when it was $3 a glass.

On draft at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury, VT.

Poured a hazy bright straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and very good lacing.

The smell featured pine and citrus with a touch of lemon and white pepper.

The taste consisted of upfront Citra hops that soon gave way to the more assertive Simcoe and Amarillo. Pleasant round malts supported the experience.

The mouthfeel was light, carbonated and featured a nice residual bitterness.

Overall a superior APA.

Had this on tap several times at Pro Pig in Waterbury. From notes.

A - Poured bright and golden. A nice pale ale appearance. One finger of white head on top left good lace and a film of retention. Good carbonation.

S - Zippy citrus. Lot's of tropical and stone fruits. Lemon, grapefruit, grass.

T - Zippy is the best way to describe it again. Lot's more light fruits, big citrus notes, passionfruit, floral, grapefruit, lemon.

M - Strong carbonation, medium body, decent bitterness.

O/D - This is a very drinkable and tasty pale ale. Very hoppy and sessionable. Goes down way too easy with an ABV that warrants multiple servings. One to check out if you're at the bar.
