Style: Altbier

Notes / Commercial Description:
A German-style Alt Ale with a light copper color. This full-bodied, slightly sweet beer owes its crisp clean finish to its lower fermentation temperature and its extended conditioning time.

A: This one came out to me with a very small tan head, but I gotta admit it stuck to the glass till the very end. Beer itself was a reddish brown.

S: Really malty nose of toast, biscuits, and other darker bready aromas with ever so slight bit of fruit presence. Hops can be found in the end along with some alcohol (I want to say it was 6.5% but I'd have to confirm that).

T: I'm getting a bit of almost roast here, but also a lot of molasses and brown sugar from the sweet malt backbone. Hops are nice and crisp in the finish, but still very subdued.

M: Had a good creamy body with a low but present carbonation. Made for a really easy drinking pint.

O: This is pretty much what I'd expect from an Altbier. Nothing really stood out as being off, but then again nothing seemed all the special. Still, pint went down no problem along side my fish & chips.
