Candy orange cooper, no bubbles, and a huge 5 finger, glassy, off white head.

Smells of candied orange, fruity and caramelly, with hints of fried shallots.

Tastes of garlic, candied orange, toffee, and a balance of sweet and bitter.

Medium body, moderately low carbonation, and a dry finish.

Found in Perth where I am drinking it Aug 21st, 2017. Amazing brew.

4 Pines Brewing have been a favourite of mine for a long time. Whilst they're no longer independent craft, I feel like they haven't really lost their overall quality as a brewery and are just benefiting from Carlton & Uniteds distribution network.

Their Keller doors in Manly & Dee Why are certainly worth a visit...(says the bloke whose only been once, however I do live on the other side of Sydney - like 70kms drive, but I digress)

Appearance: Almost bronze like Orange appearance. Thick off white head, lots of carbonation. (3.75)

Smell: Strong malt backbone, with a lovely floral bouquet of citrus and tropical fruits with a pine residue. 3.75)
Taste: Follows the nose nicely. Quite sweet, very malt driven but complimented by a nice array of citrus and tropical stone fruits. Not overly bitter, but there's some bitterness in the back end which balances the malt profile nicely.

Feel: Thin, but not watery. Very drinkable and highly carbonated. Extremely thirst quenching (4)

Overall: It's an extremely easy drinking, go-to beer. Good flavour. Not heavy so you can knock a few back and not feel too bloated. I've always enjoyed 4PPA, and I can't really fault it :)

Amber, orange, slightly cloudy, low carbonation with almost no head.
Piney, resin and floral nose.
Silky, hoppy, subtle orange grapefruit peels.
Overall, an enjoyable American style Pale Ale.

Very refreshing pale Ale. It's Quality can be distinguished thanks to its texture and fruity aromas.

On tap at brewery. A bit on the dark side, but plenty of citrus tartness and hop bitterness to go around. Malts shine clean throughout. Understand that they are using southern hemisphere hops here, so some different tastes.

From bottle, Burnt orange with small head. Slight grapefruit and peach aromas. Full bodies with some malt to chew on and plenty of tropical fruit at the front.

I had a 330ml bottle.
Appearance: pours good clean Amber colour with small white head. Presents well.
Aroma: good tropical fruit hops present.
Flavour: nice balance of fruitiness from the hops and bitter finish. Spritely carbonated and offers a very refreshing feel.
Overall: very good sessionable pale ale and one I will buy again. I am looking forward to getting down to Manly one day to 4 Pines for lunch and to sample a few of their other beers.
