Pitch black with a finger of beige head.

Smells of coffee, toffee, tiramisu, very chocolatey, floral and sweet and dessert like on the nose.

Tastes of coffee, chocolate, sweet dessert like tiramisu, very little smokiness and char on the finish.

Chewy body, moderate carbonation.

Got this in Perth, Australia, drinking it in Ingaloo August 22nd, 2017. Excellently executed brew!

Format: standard 330mL dark brown bottle, reasonable craft label.

Appearance: a jet black body with a very dark brown / tan head that drops to a thin cap and decent lacing.

Aroma: roasted malts - definite coffee, milk chocolate and cocoa. Some earth and licquorice.

Taste: a stronger, creamy milk chocolate here with the coffee accompanying. Not much of the earth or licquorice here, but very pure in its creamy and roast malts.

Aftertaste: very creamy on the finish, with a touch of dry afterward. It does feel a bit more like a milk stout on the finish.

Mouth feel: fairly solid in feel with a lower carbonation. Very British.

Overall: a pretty good version of an Irish Dry Stout - good roast malts and some creamy qualities. Not bad for AU$70 a case.

I had a 330ml bottle bottle.
Appearance: rich dark colour with good 1cm brown foamy head. Presents well.
Aroma: immediate coffee aroma present, nice.
Flavour: coffee follows through on the palate with really good dry bitterness on the finish. Enjoying the dark malty flavour.
Mouthfeel: low carbonation and smooth with a dry finish.
Overall: a very nice stout.

330ml bottle poured into pint glass 4/4/14

A dark cola liquid with almost enough clarity to see the other side of the glass under the two fingers of mocha foam, a few partial rings followed by random patches deep down the glass

S coco and milk chocolate, a little chocolate syrup, some nutty hard toffee, earthy notes, just a hint of char and licorice

T mimics the nose quite well, slightly more char and a hint of smoke, still heaps of chocolate, quite rich with flavour for a 5%er, a little plum as it warms

M lighter side of medium, soft carbonation, just a little grit, mildly bitter, nutty chocolate lingers on the finish

O solid stout from start to finish, lots going on in something I could session without getting board

I've been craving stout lately and haven't found all that many during my trip down under, well worth trying even if you don't have a stout craving
