Excellent looking wild ale; hazy, peach-yellow body; lively carbonation; thin yet lasting head, white. Sweet nose comprised of peach and apricot smells; a bit of orange; very fresh. Very unique and delicious flavor; ripe peach and orange pith; a touch of red grapefruit; mildly tart; bold, earthy hop bitterness. Heavy body; rich and prickly on the palate; slightly sticky; very moderate acidity.

This beer is billed as a wild India pale ale, brewed only with Brettanomyces with tangerine zest and and natural flavors. it walks a fine line between a wild ale and IPA and does the job superbly. Both styles are present and play nicely together. A unique, tasty beverage.

From wax sealed bottle, no date. Pours a nice thick white head, color of honey. Very zesty and citrusy smell. You can definitely smell the Brett. This beer tastes more like a Farmhouse then a true IPA. The hop bitterness tries to come through but is masked by the wild tangy ness of the Brett yeast. The aging in wine barrels seems to become more pronounced as it warms up. Overall a unusual clash of styles that seem to work very well together. A very good but odd beer.

this is just lights out, wish i didnt wait so long to try this one, although maybe the extra time in the bottle on the brett has helped it mature to this beautiful beer it is today. double swinger was amazing, but this might be my favorite beer in the series. the brett is really developed, and while its about as juicy as it gets, its also super dry, so we owe that to the brett. the citrus peel comes though in this like crazy, way more than i remember it in any of the others, and with the hops in this, its just incredible. tropical hops with the peel is a great combination. the chardonnay barrel is also a phenomenal choice for this, fruity oak and mild acidity bringing it together. the acid from the wine almost fills in for the lacto that isnt in this one, and it somehow comes across as a more complete brew than the one with the mixed cultures. i also like how hoppy it is, seemingly a lot more than the others too, and at this low abv, i could just drink this forever. a perfect summer wild ale/ipa hybrid, has aged gracefully, and feels about as refreshing as any beer can. one of the best i have ever had from trinity, they should make this one all the time! i need to buy these up before they disappear.

12.7 ounce bottle poured into an oversized snifter.

Tons of foamy head from the pour, so I'm glad for the oversized glass. The head shows good persistence. The body could be confused for grapefruit juice, it's simply that thick and cloudy, plus has a similar golden and brown color blend. 4.25

Smells like grapefruit juice too, but even more tart and reaching sour territory. There's peach and pineapple aroma, mango, man, a lot of damn fruit. Fruit salad but with some funk. 4.5

More mango fruitiness on the palate, some zestiness and grapefruit peel, that lead into a funky then floral yeast finish. I like the cross between fruintiness and earthy funk flavor. It feels like two beers, a juicy IPA and a filthy wild ale, got even filthier together. Those whores. The yeast flavor can be a tad too apparent on the finish and feel like licking flowers, but otherwise this beer tastes great. 4.25

Tart and funky. Light-to-medium-bodied with a refreshing feel. The finish is a tad yeast-heavy and that's my only qualm. 4

Another gem in the swingline series.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color. It poured with a two finger high off white head that died down, leaving a very large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar that extended up the sides of the glass for a bit.
S: Light to moderate aromas of funk from the brett are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has a lot of funk from the Brettanomyces yeast and finishes with notes of oak and Chardonnay from the barrel aging process. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and could be considered sessionable if you are some that likes funky beers. It tastes a lot more like a wild ale than an IPA.

375ml bottle

hazy orange color, large, quickly dissipating bubbly head. musty, earthy aroma. taste starts out tart and then you get a big rush of tangerine and orange and the finish is lasting and funky. it is much like the other swinglines and this funky sour IPA style is just awesome.

375 ml bottle poured a hazy gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of straw, earthiness, dank bud and light horse blanket. Mouthfeel was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, earthiness, horse blanket and dank bud with a crisp dry bitter lingering funky finish.
