Served on tap in tulip glass

A- Nice fluffy white head, good retention and mild lacing. The beer is a super hazy murky yellow color.

S- Horse blanket, lemon zest, light malt. A hint of biscuit, clementine and nice peppery spice.

T- This is a fairly mild flavored beer that is somewhat sweet with a nice mild spice. Some hay, light sour flavor, clementines and funky flavors all work very nicely together.

M- Very light bodied, little carbonation.

Over all I would say this is a very mild representation of this style. It was lacking a lot of the puckering sour that is generally associated with it but does have a lot of funky complexities going on.

Really wanted to like this; really loathed the mouthfeel, and found the flavor-profile sub-standard. Very oligo-dimensional: some leathery, grapey funk, and bit too much Gerwürtztraminer-like sweetness, and not much else. Decent barn and pear nose, solid—though slightly too still—appearance, and not a total abomination ... but just not very good, at all.

Maybe (hopefully?!) the taps at the Paramount Café did it an injustice?

750 ml bottle, barrel TBB 106, bottle 1283 3/13. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a small fizzy white head that quickly goes to a small dusting.

The aroma is tart and funky with some brett, tropical fruits and flowers.

The flavor is lots of tart acidic sourness with some spices and a bit of iron. The mouthfeel is rather thin and watery with no carbonation.

Overall, an OK sour. Lots of acidic sourness, but very thin, watery, under-carbonated and simple.

Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of tart, funky lemons with some funny Belgian yeast mixed in. The flavor is heavy on the brett. I get a lot of dry, leather components as some strong barnyard funk. There is also a little bit of lemon in the flavor and some light to medium tartness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours a hazed straw color with much effervescence. A modicum of head retention & lacing

S: Grassyness, sourness, lime zest

T: Follows the nose, lemongrass, white pepper, pears & light grapefruit notes up front. Lovely dryness, delicate spicyness ( Keffir? ) . Finishes tart, with lovely tropical & citrus fruit, plus a little white pepper

MF: Light bodied, delicate carbonation, dryness

Super drinkability, albeit bloody expensive. Could drink this all summer long , if someone else was buying
