Pours a amber colored orange with a light brown hues through out. A soft white head with good retention. Mostly cloudy but ok.

The nose is hop forward with more of a West Coast IPA feel. Big piney and everygreen notes. A big cat piss aroma, hello Simco, that is a deterrent than anything else. Some minor citrus and noticeable yeast notes. Some esters, rose peddles, but not over the top.

The taste is more hop forward as well. Actually more of a hop tea than a beer. Seriously would like ANY balance on this. A hint of bitterness and NO body or malt taste to even try to balance. The piney notes come out along with the super cat piss flavors. Some minor citrus but

The body was dry. Really under balanced and limited. Some carbonic bite but this has more to do with the no body than anything else. Overall hugely disappointed in this. No balance at all and was a serious hop tea.

Bottle purchased by a friend directly from the brewery. Seeing the ratings for this beer I can't help but wonder if the bottle I received is out of date or was exposed to extreme temperatures. Bottle consumed within 1 week of purchase. Surprisingly disappointed. Would like to give this one another shot in the future.

750 ml bottle, bottle number 198/12 (I think). Pours hazy copper orange with a monstrous rocky off-white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is big sugary tropical fruits with some dank hops and pine.

The flavor is sweet tropical fruits with a lot of piney dank bitterness. There's a bit of warming from the alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an excellent DIPA. Slightly too sweet and alcoholic (and pricey at $17 a bottle).

A- Served in a tulip glass, clear amber with a light white head

S- Moderate pine hop aroma, some floral notes with a little sweetness

T- Floral hop and alcohol taste are strong at the front, sweet amber malt in the middle, warming mouthfeel, slightly dry-bitter finish, light lingering sweetness, excellent

M- Moderate carbonation, medium body, rolls smoothly off the tongue, slightly warming

O- I really enjoyed this brew, good balance of malt to hop, well presented and executed imperial, definitely worth trying if you're passing through the area and love a good, strong IPA

Draft (CO2), snifter

A – Medium amber, with some slightly gold hues. Off-white, even pinkish foam of an inch-plus with long retention. Very craggy. Beer is very clear.

S – Mango and papaya. Very light grapefruit. Some sweet caramel malt with light toffee. Light pear and green apple.

T – Definitely mango, guava, apples and pears. Lightly baked bread crust. Light caramel. Hops also contribute high hop bitterness.

M – Moderate to low carbonation, light sweetness and high bitterness. A juicy, but bitter finish.

O – Great flavor up front but the bitterness ends up a bit high, out of balance.
