Notes / Commercial Description:
The generous addition of hops both during and at the end of the fermentation process (dry-hopping) gives our India Pale Ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavor. This was from a 6-pack I picked up at Dewey Beach Liquors while on vacation in coastal Delaware.

Look: Very clear light copper. Almost a gold color. Head was a 1-finger of beige off-white foam. Quickly reduced down to a film with some patchy head lacing. Carbonation bubbles almost nonexistent.

Smell: Virtually nothing happening in the nose. Maybe some very faint sweet malt notes. That was about it.

Taste: An extremely light palate on this one. First off was a very faint floral hop note. Then some light sweetness. Finish and aftertaste was very clean. This beer drinks like a light English IPA rather than an American IPA.

I can't say this beer was that great to me. It was extremely drinkable and I would definitely prefer this over a macro-lager of course. Other than that, not real impressive.

Pours light golden color in teku glass. White head that lingers fairly well.

Smell is heavy with lemon citrus. Very nice fresh smell. Inviting.

Taste is dissappointing. Some malty sweetness. Not much complexity here. No hop character. Minimal bitterness

Mouthfeel is watery. Very bland.

Overall this was fair at best. Probably won't buy this again.

Well...my wife knows i like IPAs, so she picked this one up for me...a sweet gesture at least.

Kind of a a dull yellow pour...spotty lacing though, and a small ring of head remained for the duration.

Not much aroma on this one...especially for an IPA...where is the citrus, pine? Almost getting an adjunct scent in this one...oops.

Certainly not what you want in an IPA...but not horrible...more malt in this one than hops, a bit of sweetness initially but i'm having a tough time finding the hops.

I'm not gonna slam this one, even though I'm not sure IPA status is correct. It doesn't taste horrible...but it certainly doesn't taste like an IPA. Try again Long Hammer...I'll give you another shot.

Had on tap at mellow mushroom in Johnson City, TN

Arrived a slightly hazy medium amber with a small whitish head.

Mostly piney hops in the aroma along with a decent amount toasted malt and caramel.

The flavor was much like the smell. Quite earthy with more pine than citrus in the way of hops. Decently impressed with the hop/malt balance but it is all a little bit underdone. This really tastes like a light pale ale, definitely not an IPA. Overall, very underwhelming.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin off white head.
S: There are light aromas of herbal hops and passionfruit in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and also has some hints of pine resin along with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of medium-bodied, somewhat crisp and a bit thin on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink and has an interesting aroma/taste but doesn’t really deliver a hop punch compared to other IPAs. It’s like an APA with a bit more hops.
