Pretty good beer. Nice amber color with hint of red. Smell is not entirely appealing, but the taste is good. Slightly hoppy finish, but very smooth. Would recommend to others to try.

Red hook Ale Brewery "Gamechanger Ale"
on tap @ Buffalo Wild Wings, JFK International Airport
I was also told this was an IPA, which I was surprised at given the current beer climate. How can you call something that is clearly not an IPA an IPA when everyone knows exactly what's going on? "Gamechanger"? I don't think so, unless it's being marketed to their crowd that doesn't actually drink craft brews, because as we all know, everyone's taking an interest these days. Beyond that I wasn't disappointed except that it really is lacking hops. It was more to my liking than an American macro lager, and it was well balanced and drinkable. Not a bad basic amber ale.

Had this beer for the first time at a buffalo wild wings. I had started with the leinenkugel vanilla porter which was tasty. My friend had the game changer and said it was really good. So I had to try it for myself. He was right. It does have a very good flavor. Appearance isn't all that but for an ale it's suitable. Hardly any head to the pour. Amber in color. However where it excels is in the flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. It has a very hoppy/citrusy flavor. Reminds me of a blue moon hopped up on Roids. Seems to go great with hot wings. Couldn't believe how many low ratings it had on beer advocate so I felt I had to put in an honest review. I will say without doubt this is one of the better pale ales that I've drank. It's a beer that I will drink again.

So there is a theme here...Buffalo Wild Wings. Had mine at JFK Delta terminal. The menu calls it a pale ale tat looks like lager with complex flavors.
Definitely what I consider a pale ale. Amber in color, wasn't delivered with much head. Minimal/moderate lacing.
Doesn't deliver much to the nasal senses. Flat malty smell.
At first sip I thought Maybe the brought me IPA but only minimal hops and as other mentioned, tasted a little watered down. Slight hint of pine and caramel.
Simply, I don't know what this beer wants to be...since not a real ale and just don't like it that much, for that I give it all around low scores.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden-orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of orange and sweet caramel. Citrusy and light with toasted caramel.

On tap, poured into a tall pub glass.
Appearance - gold, lots of carbonation bubbles building a medium white head. Thick lacing is left behind.
Smell - more pale malts than hops in the nose. You
Taste - pale malts, small hint of hops and water.
Feel - way too light and watered down.
Overall - promoted as a session IPA, but this is simply a low abv pale ale. Not much to it.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served clear deep amber color with a small head of one finger height. The head fades relatively quickly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light overall consisting of a bready smell as well as some caramel aromas. With these smells comes a light toffee and earthy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a lightly toasted bready flavor with a touch of a grain and some caramel. Along with these tastes comes some other flavors of a light toffee. As the taste moves forward the toffee and caramel fade and are replaced by a little bit of molasses. Along with these tastes, other flavors of an earthy flavor and a little bit of grass come at the end, to leave a lighter roasted and easy going amber taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher to average side. For the style it is rather nice and makes for a rather easy drinker overall.
Overall – A pretty decent amber brew that drinks easy and has a mild but enjoyable flavor profile.

I had this at Buffalo Wild Wings in Council Bluffs, Iowa last night on 8/20/15 as a free sample in a 3 ounce glass. Had this once before from there back in March of this year also. Was told BOTH times that this is a IPA but it didn't taste like one to be as I don't care for that style at all. This one I liked though!
I think this is also brewed specially for Buffalo Wild Wings.
