750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy pale pinkish orange. Nice white head. Gushes slowly in the bottle.

Smell - Musty and acidic. Cherry and acidity. Oaky.

Taste - Cherry. Acetic acid. Musty and oaky. Grainy. Nice sourness, but kinda dirty.

Mouthfeel - Medium light body. Well carbonated. Nice sourness.

Overall - Pretty tasty sour. Not exactly earth shattering, though.

Bottle generously sent for a tasting by beachstrength49. Thanks Chris! Poured into a HF taster stem.

Pour: Pours a murky salmon color, with three fingers of frothy eggshell head. Decent lacing.

Smell: Bright, sweet cherry skin, some pear, and some lemon.As it warms, a distinct watermelon comes through. Very lactic, even on the nose. A touch of funk and earthiness on the back end.

Taste: Muted cherries and some lemon juice. Sharp acidity up front, that quickly evolves into a heavy lactic character. Distinctly yogurty throughout the entire palate. Some funk come through mid palate. As it warms, more of the same watermelon character from the nose. Finish is sweet and moderately dry.

Mouthfeel: The weakest part of this beer, as the lactic yogurt aspect added a creaminess that I found off putting. Moderately dry and quite sweet.

Overall: A pleasure to try, but this beer is not nearly in the same league as CCK. The cherries are very muted, and when coupled with the extreme yogurt feel make this a very good, but not outstanding american wild.
