Poured into a gobblet at Brewforia, Meridain. Head light...lacing delicate..small bubbles bouncing up through the dark amber....very dark with fine highlights. Massive grapefruit...sublte orange....do I taste pomegranate? Very smooth in the mouth leaves the palliate dry...like a lemon...tart...expecting the next mouthful. If this beer had just a smidge more complex overtones it would as my server said,"Stupid good." Cheers!!

While not terrible, I just didn't think all the Christmas spices blended in all that well with the IPA base beer. One and done for me.

On tap at Eureka Restaurant in Concord, CA.

This tasted like a light hoppy barleywine. Woody & Cedary citrus hops. Almost like a low ABV aged SN Bigfoot. Nice change of pace but not at all what I was expecting when I ordered it off the menu.

Looks burnt orange with decent head. Smells of standard malts and bitter pine hops, and taste is same. Basically like a lower quality bigger Ballast Point a big Eye. Not bad, but not great by any stretch. Bitterness gets further out of proportion as beer warms.

The appearance had a semi dark red sort of amber color. Bar pour leads to a one finger white foamy head that dies to leave some white cling lacing. The smell started off light caramel leading to bitter hops, nothing overly done and extremely inviting. The taste was a bittersweet all the way through to lead to a super nice bittersweet caramel bitter hops aftertaste, dry finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a medium in body, somewhat sessionable, and the carbonation is right on for the style and for me. Overall, I say this is a good AIPA that I would have again.
