Exceptional.

Poured in a pint glass, the brew was a rich orange with a fluffy white head that lasted longer than it took me to finish.

Aroma was oak, white wine with a hint of fruit.

Flavor was outstanding...a tastes like a blissful marriage of beer and Chardonnay. Dry, fruited and crisp. Much much more please.

Feel was light and refreshing.

Overall amazing.

375ml cork and caged bottle, poured into a Saints & Sinners tulip glass.

Medium copper body, slightly darker with a more darker orange hue, one finger frothy white head, good retention, plenty of collar and lacing. Smell is funky oak, lots of crisp straw and hay, mild peppercorn, a bit of guava, medium acetone and acetic acidity. Flavour follows- the acidity is fairly acetic but moderate and not too overwhelming. Mild guava complements the hay and lemon from the base wild ale, nice acetone and lactic acidity, oak and even a bit of white vinous character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, mild crispness and dryness accentuates the acetone and acetic acidity on this beer. It's got a pretty excellent flavour profile for a shelf 375ml, though of course the price can be hefty. I think it's worth getting a couple to drink.

I had this at one of those places that you pour your own beer. It was pricier by far than all the other beers so I held off on trying it but eventually gave it a try. And boy I’m glad I did. Not overly sour but very complex. The taste went through several iterations on one sip. Very good beer.

375 ml. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a slightly hazy golden body with some nice lacing. Nose of (in order) oak, guava, and lemon. Taste of (in order) guava, lemon, and oak. Outstanding experience all around as this Lost Abbey offering is smooth from start to finish. Very nice feel and overall, every sour beer lover needs to try this. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!
