Love the molasses/syrup feel of this one. Delicious mix of bourbon/brandy booziness off the nose and tongue. Vanilla, dark fruit, chocolate, wood. Lingering alcohol aftertaste. Very solid.

Nice dark brown/black color with a dark red/brown tint on the edges. Smell is HUGE bourbon sweetness with hints of brandy. Flavor is big on the bourbon (almost BCBS-like, with a tad less fruitiness) with some dark fruit and chocolate notes on the finish. Alcohol is detectable, but not hot. Mouthfeel is medium to medium heavy with a some light carbonation. Still pricey for $15, but it's a nice treat. I'd happily pick this up again.

Popped the cork with no hiss. Poured straight down the glass and no head. We have a flat one here folks. Tthis is the second time I've bought a $15+ stout from these guys that wasn't carbonated so I'm kind of dissapointed. Not sure how many more of these I will purchase from this brewery. Anyway, smell is plesent. Vanilla, roasted malts, coffee and a bit of coconut. Taste follows the nose but with some raisens and prunes. Also, get some heat from the alcohol as it goes down but not a ton so that's rather enjoyable. Mouthfeel is rich, full and slick. Overall it was a very nice beer I just wish it was cornonated, even just a little bit.
