Picked up a 12.7 oz bottle from Total Wine in mid-August for $14.99. Appears to be bottled in 2013 A group.

Beer opened without much of a pop and poured black as night and lifeless with no head to speak of.

Nose is near perfect; bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits.

Taste is oaken vanilla, bourbon, sweet liqueur, chocolate, dark fruits. Bourbon and brandy are well played and not overdone as to overwhelm the beer.

Mouthfeel is expectantly flat and lifeless.

Overall this is a wonderfully crafted brew with tons of flavor and layers of complexity. It would be great if there was a way to have a little carbonation in some of the barrel aged brews that have no carbonation but i guess you can't have it all. Glad i tried it and you should to if you have a little extra coin.
