Bottle into a snifter. The beer is about five months old at this point. This has been stored at 55 degrees since the release.

A: Bright yellow orange with great transparency and a mountainous sea foam head rising two inches toward the rim of the glass. Great retention and scattered lacing. Excellent appearance.

S: The sulfur is gone. Excellent. Tart and lightly sweet peaches with a hint of sugary sweetness. The fruit is vibrant and expressive. Light barnyard notes meld with leather, earth, and oak. This is very lactic and the fruit smells awesome.

T: The flavor is stunning. Up front tartness yields to midpalate peach sweetness. The fruit flavor is outstanding, with a strong lactic profile, upper moderate sourness, and a very low citric acidity. The short amount of time in the bottle has been very good to this beer. Oak is balancing and barnyard notes are subtle. There's a light leather presence with notes of earth. The finish is a flourish of sweet and tart peaches with a piquant finale.

M: Upper light to lower medium body with a lower high level of carbonation. Lightly tannic with a mild acidity.

Overall: A remarkable beer. This has turned into everything I'd hoped for. Seek this out.

Excellent release. Poured at the Lost Abbey Barrel Night into an LA tulip glass - dark orange yellow, little carb. Not sticky.

V10 accomplishes a difficult task. The key elements are strong and satisfying without becoming overpowering at any point - with the first snort n' sip the peach scent and flavor are distinctive without citric bitterness. The end comes on sour, but only moderately. It's far from the blanket of tartness that a good vinegar-strength lambic can throw over your tongue.

In the middle there's a note that I don't recognize. Something in the middle between funk and almost a chocolate flavor. A touch of wood, maybe? Not sure, but it's a nice transition between the fruit and sour.

To sum, a delicate and restrained beer but with distinctive flavors that last on the tongue. Very happy with this one.
