Thanks to Carleton (SpdKilz) for sharing at the Chicago Burbs Random Thursday Mega Tasting. Poured into Narke tulip.

A - Pours a hazy golden yellow, very fizzy white head, spotty lace.

S - Sweet tropical fruit nose with a nice level of tartness. Mango, pineapple, peaches, oak, light funk. Very "fruit-tartish". There's a nice note of acidic sourness that compliments the fruit.

T - Much of the same as the nose. Lots of tropical fruit tartness, light funk, oak. I can't really say I get peaches, but there's lots of fruit notes in this beer. The alcohol is well-hidden for 8%. The finish is tart fruit and light lactic acidic notes.

M - Light body, light carbonation, dry finish.

O - A really nice wild that just didn't blow me away, but was good. I would definitely have it again if I got the chance but probably wouldn't seek out a bottle at this point. Maybe it will improve with some age, but who really know. Good, not great.

Excellent release. Poured at the Lost Abbey Barrel Night into an LA tulip glass - dark orange yellow, little carb. Not sticky.

V10 accomplishes a difficult task. The key elements are strong and satisfying without becoming overpowering at any point - with the first snort n' sip the peach scent and flavor are distinctive without citric bitterness. The end comes on sour, but only moderately. It's far from the blanket of tartness that a good vinegar-strength lambic can throw over your tongue.

In the middle there's a note that I don't recognize. Something in the middle between funk and almost a chocolate flavor. A touch of wood, maybe? Not sure, but it's a nice transition between the fruit and sour.

To sum, a delicate and restrained beer but with distinctive flavors that last on the tongue. Very happy with this one.
