A: Pours very dark brown, not completely black. Absolutely no head to speak of. Carbonation is not showing off.
S: Smell is incredible, one of the most complex beers I have ever smelled with a perfect balance. With more length and strenght, it would have been granted a perfect 5. Smell is of roasted malt with cherries added upfront. Then come the barrel characters with a subtle tart woodiness and notes of vanilla. Behind hide tons of vinous aromas, dark grapes, fruit skin and tannins, then more fruits, plum and prune mixed with chocolate, fudge, leather and oak. A touch of alcohol and caramel sweetness linger.
T: Taste differs from the nose with the same flavors coming in the mix but with a different arrangement. Taste is tart upfront, with cherries and vinous flavors dominating at first, quickly replaced by the malt richness, chocolate, burnt flavors, dark fruits, leather and oak. Some light alcohol kick also. Some tartness and bitterness mixed together linger in the aftertaste. leaving a welcome dry mouth. Awesome.
M: Unfortunately, as foreseen from the appearance, the beer lacks carbonation, but the dryness on the finish and the small amount of alcohol perceived from the taste help give the beer a perfect balance and leave no trace of residual sweetness despite a perfectly decent body.
O: This beer is a gem, a masterpiece, I don't know why it's rating so low. I didn't expect this at all, I had had a good amount of the Tracks series before, and though some were definitely great, none is as inspiring as this one. Would have it be a little bit more carbonated, it could have reach a perfect 5. Lost Abbey, please make more!

Bottle. Poured a hazy ruby brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour fruit and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy fruit sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer for style.

I think there's a decent stout hiding in here, but the rest of the blend is pretty rough

Thanks to rudzud for acquiring this set and splitting it with me, and thanks to Alec for it in the first place.

Light fizzy head, super dark brown color.

Nose vinous and sour funk, nice Brett funk, sour dark malts, nice Brett in general, no cocoa or roast, cherry flesh but muted and bitter like.

Taste sour funk, soured dark malts, Brett funk, lacto creamy feel, little metallic, mild dark malt in general, cherry flesh, mild bitter roast like malt.. Finish mild flemmy sour like acid feel, sticky, more sour dark malts.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, lighter carb, slick feel, boozy too.

Overall bleh. Not a great blend, the components just don't come together well.

S - Aromas of cherry pit, dunno, malts, off fruits ..Hmmmm...

T - Taste is lots of off flavours, malt sweetness, chocolate, roast, off flavours of funky cherry, off roast, really odd funk, ugh.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, alcohol hidden well bit is heavy syrupy.

O - Overall this beer was a mess..Really bad and jumbled.
