We went back to the well for this one. It is a remix of our classic Veritas 006 aka sangria. We have raspberry and cherry providing the bulk of the fruit texture over a sour yellow base beer. To this we also added some orange peel and freshly zested mandarin orange zest as well. The beer finishes with a nice tannic finish and is truly a refreshing riff on a Lost Abbey classic.

A murky brown pour with a little bit of bubbles to the top, like, settles in around 1/5" light cream head. The aroma is a medley of fruits, orange, cherry, some berries. Some sour/tartness noticeable in the nose, a little bit of brown malt.

Tastes like leather and cherry soaked in some kind of diluted vinagerette for a salad. That thankfully fades away as the palate gets used to this thing that tastes like an oud bruin on steroids and fruit. Average acidity and lemon notes. Lots of wood tannin notes. Keeps getting better as it warms and the palate becomes accustomed to it. Substantial red wine notes in the mouth feel. Alcohol noticeable.

$15/375ml, would not bang again. Its a good enough beer under ordinary circumstances, but not worth $1+ per oz. Lost Abbey has a lot of those price tier beers, but it seems like less than 20% of them are worth it.

Consumed 10/17. Review from notes.

No head. Copper gold color. Clear. Tons of raspberries, cherries, and orange. Funk, brett, and sourness. Lemon acidity. Oak. Fruity. Great wild ale.

375ml corked and caged bottle poured into a matching lost abbey teku. The brew appears a clouded brown color with a couple big bubbles across the top that fade quick.

Smells like cherry pits and turpentine. Faint oak as it warms. Overall not very enjoyable.

Tastes acidic with sour cherry, pitted/earthen flavor, raspberry seeds and a hint of turpentine. It gets progressively bitter and acedic as it warms up to the pointbof being undrinkable.

Light body, lighter carbonation. A big disappointment, not enjoyable, expensive drain cleaner.

Unrelenting....raspberry is supremely tart, orange is absent, heavy balsamic and wet oak. Tannins are overwhelming. Gah, this is a chore...very difficult to drink....like drinking shots of vinegar and licking a wet board over and over...and over.

375 ml bottle poured into tulips for bottle share. Cloudy red body with a thin foamy tan head that leaves a few rings. Aroma is filled with raspberry juice and orange peel and rounded out by cherry skin and oak. Taste is tart up front with raspberry and cherry leading the way then yielding to light fruity sweetness featuring orange flesh and a bit of woody bitterness on the finish. Medium body, thin texture, lively carbonation, dry tannic finish.

thanks to ruzdud for getting this series of awesomeness, and split with him..Pours pretty much no head, murky mahogany brown color.

Nose is great, tons of acidic berry fruit, sour fruit, berry seed, acid, light tannins, big vinegar, so much raspberry, great sour raspberry.

Taste brings more tart raspberry, earthy and tannic seeded, juicy sweet candied raspberry, a straight up raspberry pie filling, nice sourness ave big acidic bite, mild sweet fruity vinegar, etc. Mild flemmy with acidic bite and tartness, a wine like acid and tannin note, faint orange skin note. Finish is sticky but flemmy, sour raspberry and tannic seed, big acidity, etc.

Mouth is med bod, lighter but decent carb, nice acidic bite and sourness.

Overall very good, so delicious with great fruit, tartness, acidic and tannin notes, delicious and very enjoyable

Split with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a murky walnut hue with a thin head that fades to leave a thin wisp and halo

S - Aromas of acidic vinegar, old vintage raspberry, cherry pit. Loads of acetone, super sour almost burning raspberry. Incredibly aromatic.

T - Taste is raspberry jam, super acid notes, raspberry seed, cherry juice. Loads of acid vinegar. Really good teeth enamel peeling sour. Sticky jam mixed with absurdly tart, nearly stomach turning. Still, this isn't bad at all super delicious and complex.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, on par for the style. Nice acid.

O - Overall this beer was incredible great vintage raspberry notes. Incredible.
