On tap @ the source during DDG release. Base is Avant Garde aged in tequila barrels with lime added.

A: Pours a murky and hazy dark orangish amber with an extremely thin initial off-white head which fades to the rim leaving just a few spots.

N: Sourness, almost nose curdling, vinegar, with dark fruits (raisins, plums).

T: Complex tequila and oaky tannins, sour, fruity, earthy, lime/citrus is faint.

M: Moderate body and light carbonation. Sour tannic fruity finish.

O: Robust and strong flavors with a nice sour bite.

On tap at DDG release. Pours a murky amber color with a small white head. Scent is quite boozy with some definite tequila aromas. Some dark fruits and sour aromas. A little funky. Lots of lime and a bit of other citrus fruits. Taste is tequila up front, but not nearly overwhelming. Nice oak flavor with a good amount of puckering sour fruit flavors. Finishes with a sweet, sugary lime flavor. Mouthfeel is very nice for the style. Not overly carbonated, but not even close to being still. Drinkability is high, especially for such high ABV. Overall, I felt this beer was absolutely fantastic. It was my first tequila barrel aged sour, and I loved every sip. I really hope they decide to bottle this one. Delicious!
