Appearance: Presents with a hazy amber color; an inch or two of foam leave sheets of lacing behind

Smell: The aroma was somewhat herbal with pint, mint and lime tones

Taste: Bready malt flavors, up front, with the pine, mint and lime arriving in the middle; bitterness built in the profile, but an unusual band-aid flavor also arrived, taking the beer in an odd direction; the finish was bitter with some band-aid funkiness

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: The malt and hops used here are an unusual combination and I really wanted to like this beer; ultimately, I couldn't get around the off flavors, however

New one from PB.
"An IPA brewed here with our pals at Other Half Brewery. Made with Halcyon malt and NUGGet, AhtaNUM and MagNUM hops."

On tap at the brewery, and now enjoyed at home via a 32 ounce growler.

Pours lightly hazed lighter/near golden , delicate off white head, leaves a super fine bubble film and again super fine and nice looking webs of sheeting and scattered lace.

Subtle perfumed nose with some tropical fruits.

Super flavorful and enjoyable IPA, again perfumed, with notes of tropical fruits, mint, lime, white pepper, pine, hoppy goodness. Really delicious...

Carbonation just right, bright and crisp but somehow creamy and soft at the same time.

Finely crafted...home run...go get some...hopefully will be in regular rotation at the brewery and in my fridge

The beer pours out in a slightly hazy and bright orange yellow color with a large fluffy head.

The aroma has a large amount of hops, floral and tropical hops, orange rind and citrus, a good amount of crackery malt.

The flavor follows with an orange peel, tropical fruits, and then onto floral hops. There's some crackery malt to keep the beer going and offer some substantive body. A clean and light beer however.

A well made IPA.

A trip to PB, love this place.

A: Light yellow, hazy, very nice

S: Nothing! Where are the hops?

T: Again, I'm struggling to taste what's "IPA" about this brew. Pleasing malt and if I did for it I get a touch of citrus and some grassy flavor from the hopping but very subtle

M: About right

O: The one disappointment I had at PB.

Delicious, crisp and aromatic IPA. Pours a brilliant yellow, light in body. Aroma and flavor are primarily floral and fruity hops with a big emphasis on orange rind. Malt character just peeks through, but quite dry and definitely hop focused. The character is a bit different than that of most IPAs -- the now-dominant west coast and new world character--and it is a nice change of pace.
