Tellus is one part 3 month old barleywine (aged one month in bourbon barrels) and one part young, strong pale ale. 9.1%

Tellus appears brown with some shades of red popping up. A nice skim of off white bubbles around the sides that die into nothing, no lace. Still there is some life to this one. Smell is sweet caramel and a nice scent if it. The bourbon/oak toe are there but need some sniffing to find. A twinge of alcohol with some backing yeasts. Tellus is at a sweet level that is not overkill with a small fruity appeal and chocolate. Taste is pretty superb. Old ale caramel, toasted malt, A hit of strong yeast with some chocolate towards the end. The oak and bourbon is minimal throughout, which I like as it is not killing me. Feel is above medium and a bit syrupy with minimal carb, still it's a tasty beer that is a sipper. Hopefully some more is aging for more than a month, so we can get some comparison.
