This is GC's specialty beer as they call it. It is a blend of their Northern Light and Mai Bock beers. So I labeled this a bock.

Poured into a large glass mug. Color is quite 'bock-like.' Very clear, copper colored. No lace hear and not the best head retention.

Aroma: Very light on the nose. Caramel, roasted malts, a touch of honey. A sweet, bock aroma.

Taste: Big malt taste. Caramel. Roasted flavor. Slight earthy hops. Not to bad.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and a little bitter. Medium bodied. Well carbonated. Ends with the typical bock aftertaste. A little sticky with a mouth full of malt flavor.

Overall, I am surprised how much I enjoyed this beer. Very easy drinking, yet full of flavor. The 25 oz mug went fast. Give this one a try when you are visiting.

Stayed right across from Granite City, just HAD to review thier brews:
this is thier "speciatly brew" :
the Two Pull is a blend of their Northern Light and Brother Benedict Bock beers.

A: Clear apple cider colored brew. modest head settles very quick. ZERO lacing.

S: not much to the nose here

T: not bad! nice BALANCE of hops and maltiness

M: nice carbonation, NO ABV bite, healthy hopiness.

D: this is really not bad at all. drink em down!

just thought that I would add a few things. here in my city the two pull varies depending on who pours it. varying amounts of the 2 flavors greatly change the taste/drinkability. but overall its a solid choice for me. and at $6 on tues and thurs you cant go wrong with the cost either

Growler poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Light amber with off white head. Appears to have pretty good carbonation but not the lacing I was expecting.

Smell: Not a very powerful smell but it does have a nice sweet malty smell to it.

Taste: Sweet maltiness, just like the smell. It is balanced nicely but I can't explain how. It is just not too sweet but not too bitter either. It is a little lacking in any one particular flavor but I think that makes it a pretty good combination.

Note: This is a combo of Granite City's light and bock style beers. This is only the second time I have heard about combining beers like this but it works well this time
