12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 4/22/2016. Pours very hazy golden yellow/orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice hefeweizen. All around nice robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the ABV, with an impressive mouthfeel as well. A very enjoyable offering.

Look: Nice and Hazy, small white head, plenty of lacing (poured very clear until I shook last third of bottle
Aroma: Banna and bubblegum, spice and light sweetness
Taste: Fruity banana and a lot of clove, pleasant sweetness that disappears quickly
Feel: Very drinkable, prickly carbonation
Overall: a solid heffe

Look: Hazy gold, little head.

Smell: Vaguely sweet, slight grain.

Taste: Much fuller flavor than the aroma would suggest. Wheat grain, cream, and a slight hop.

Feel: As with most Hefeweizens, it has a creamy yet refreshing mouth feel.

Overall: A solid Hefe that I would happily enjoy again.

Poured from 12oz twist off bottle (Yuengling should ditch that) into a weizen glass. Dark golden in color, lots of haze (almost turbid) with a fluffy white head that settles into a thin lacing. Typical yeasty Hefeweizen aroma with notes of clove and spice. Flavor is quite similar to aroma, pleasantly spicy from the year with more notes of banana and clove. Cleaner finish than most hefeweizens with a thinner mouthfeel than normal. Quite an excellent Hefeweizen especially for the price. Flavor is spot on and to find any faults would be nitpicking. Good stuff.

L. Hazy orange-tan with a small head, reduces to patches in no time flat.
S. Big aroma of sweet banana, butterscotchy sweet malt, light fruit like apples and pears, slight spice. Nice.
T. Tart right away, then banana, more fruity tartness, spicy clove, sweet wheat maltiness underneath it all. A hint of bitterness with your banana on the aftertaste.
F. Thinner than medium body, well carbonated.
O. Plenty of flavor and ok for the style in my opinion. Cheers!

Pours something between straw and very light copper with a generous head. Laces along the glass, smells of banana less sour than most hefeweizens. Tastes like banana with a touch of wheat. The malt really takes a backseat to the banana and the nothingness. Too light bodied, and rather plain.

hazy yellow, smell of banana and beer. Taste artificial banana and so off wheat flavor not good. After taste actually better than beer itself which isn't saying much. Didn't drink it all and wouldn't get again. This shouldn't be called beer. I don't know how everybody thinks this is so good.

Pours light and hazy with a small head. Smells very strongly of banana and wheat and tastes as smells. After taste is not very good, with the banana flavor being overpowering. If that's what you like then this is the beer for you. Went down smooth, but I just can not get over the banana taste in the end. It ruined this beer for me.

Pours a hazy golden color with a small head.

Smells of bananas,belgian yeast and wheat.

Taste is very similar to smell. There's a lot of sweet wheat, bananas, and cloves. With some Belgian yeast flavor in the background. This is an excellent, although perhaps a little bit overly sweet, take on the style.

Appearance - very cloudy yellow/color with eggshell white head

Smell - banana, clove, wheat

Taste - bananas, clove, wheat

Mouthfeel - medium bodied, lower level of carbonation, banana lingers on the back end nicely, a tad watery on the finish

Overall - I was pleasantly surprised by this offering. My only knock is that its a tad more watery than its German counterparts, but solid nonetheless. Definitely worthy of a re-visit. Recommended

price Point - $1.79/12 oz single

An excellent representation of the style.

I am stunned that this came from Pottsville, PA.

This tastes like a German Weizen through and through. Bubblegum, bananas and cloves throughout.

It's not going to be mistaken for Weihenstephaner or anything, but there is no better wheat beer bang for your buck.

Less than $9 for a six pack. Hefeweizen fans should buy it.

A; crystal clear; medium gold in color; 2 finger mousy white head that receded to a very thin cap; OK lacing;

S: very aromatic - could smell it several feet away; clove, banana, wheat, a hint of lemon and bubblegum;

T: a little unbalanced toward clove; banana isn't noticeable until the finish and even then it's in the background; a hint of wheat and lemon in the background from start to finish; virtually no bitterness;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate to high carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: refreshing; a good, but not great representation of the style; I also prefer an unfiltered hefeweizen; doesn't affect the taste, but I like the cloudy visual effect;

Appearance: Light Summer gold, white cap with decent lacing.

Aroma: Clove, banana, floral fruity sensations, little malt or hops, something sharp and a bit tart I can't identify.

Taste: Flavor follows aroma with a dryish downplay of flavors promised by the aroma. Malt in the body but not in the taste, it's in there, somewhere, just keeps eluding my grasp. The chalky soil of Champagne comes to mind but I suppose that's the yeast. Finish is clean, fruity, no bitterness, aftertaste seems sweet but really isn't, not bad, not bad at all.

Texture: Medium

Overall: Has the same character one expects from a Summer Wheat Ale, flavor is there and it's good, just diminished somehow, not so bright as one might wish, tart note in the aroma is subdued in the flavor. It's as if they tried just hard enough to make something just good enough. Good price though.

Pours a cloudy, golden color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of wheat, yeast, citrus hops, clove, and slight pale malt. Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of clove, citrus, slight hops, hint of coriander, wheat, pale malt, and slight sweet malt. Overall, strong body and aroma, but weak finish, and a little cloying.

About $7 a six pack in my area, your results may vary (and be even cheaper). With its price in mind, it's an awesome beer...even if it cost more, it would still be worth it to me! Looks a cloudy honey color, really thick bubbly head that dissipates down to a thin layer of foam. Good lacing. Smell is banana and clove all the way. Taste is predominantly bubble gum for me, with banana and clove in abundance as well. Slight hint of a lemony citrus flavor. A little bit of that trademark Yuengling grain flavor (like corn) in the background. Feel is thin and watery, and missing out on the creaminess of a really good hefe. However, it is very smooth going down and finishes surprisingly crisp (there's even a hint of hop bitterness). If you're looking for an affordable and easily available hefeweizen, I recommend picking up one of these while it's in season.

Murky golden colored, with a moderate head. The nose is strong with wheat. The taste has got a nice wheat flavor. It almost also has a citrus flavor to it. This beer also holds up well to aging, since I got this beer last summer. Highly recommended summer beer if you can get it.

This beer is absolutely delicious. The smell and flavor of bananas and cloves are outstanding. The best wheat beer I've ever had. Not only that, but the mouth feel is crisp and refreshing. It also forms a nice head which is not typical of yuengling beers. It's freaking perfect.

-That yuengling grain taste, little clove, banana ester bomb
-Tingly, sharp, medium feel

-ok beer. Not my favorite hefe.

Got to sample a 16-oz draft of this little gem at a bar in Parx Casino.

I'll say two things: First, I'm a big fan of hefeweizens. They're pretty much the only beer I'll go out of my way for year-round. Secondly, I'm typically not much of a fan of Yuengling's offerings. With those things said, I was floored when I tried this beer. Maybe it's because I had my expectations set low since it was Yuengling, and it was almost as cheap as a Dud Light where I was. Nice bit of cloudiness, great typical Hefe nose with cloves and that little fruitiness. Medium body with bananas and cloves coming through. Clean finish that had me ordering another one real fast.

This beer can run with the big guys as far as I'm concerned. For me, it's not quite a Weihenstephaner or a Julius Echter, but for an American Hefeweizen that you can score for less than a buck a bottle, it is an outstanding value, and in my opinion, the shining star of Yuengling's lineup. Damn shame it's a seasonal because they really got this one right.

A good summer beer. Best served ice cold with a slice of orange. It is wheaty and has a bubble gum and banana flavor. Sometimes it's a little fruity tasting. Best when served ice cold in a frosted goblet with orange slices at the ready. A good budget craft beer, and a fine lawnmower beer.

12 oz bottle. Light amber orange color with a decent sized white head. Big banana, citrus, and clove aroma. Very fruity flavor. Lacking a little in body. Very thin and light bodied, even for a hefeweizen. Refreshing and a great value for the price, but doesn't hold a candle to the great German versions or even Sierra Nevada Kellerweis or Neshaminy Creek Highwater for that matter.

Appearance: Cloudy, hazy golden, with a substantial head of white suds, but virtually no lace.

Aroma: Nice crisp citrus and spicy yeast. Surprisingly strong and inviting!

Taste: More crisp citrus and a pronounced banana and clove spice profile. Not as complex as a real German hefeweizen, but still pretty enjoyable and one I could easily drink on a warm Summer day, no prob.

Somewhat opaque pale golden color. Smell is of banana and yeast. Tastes of banana and clove, bready and yeasty. Crisp carbonation, medium body. Goes down smooth. Pretty good hefe; bough it on sale $3 for a six pack. Can't beat that value!

Golden amber delicious brew was served in a pint glass. Unfiltered with noticeable particulates in a bubbly cloudy haze.

Head after pour is two fingers thick, hangs around a few minutes then settles into a thin foam topping, with light lacing.

Smell was very faint, with light fermented banana and yeast noted.

Taste was better than expected, really came across as a tart spiced banana bread. Low carbonation and light feel.

This one is definitely a treat. I hate pouring money down the drain so I'm leery about seasonal brews. Lucked out finding this on sale for $5 a sixer. I'll be going back tomorrow to see if they have a few more.
