From a bottle off the singles rack . Just arrived there. No apparent dating.
Clear orangey-gold, with quickly-dissipating white head.
Smell is of bready malt, mostly, and a bit fruity (apple/pear/white grape), plus a little bit of (anaerobic) river muck aroma. I only get that last part when I stick my nose into the glass, so don't worry about it. ;)
Taste is biscuity grain, spicy/floral hops, and a touch of white grape juice. Mild pleasant bitterness, that builds towards finish, and lingers. A very slight cardboard/stale breadcrust flavor after finish, after it warms a bit (45F?) . If you don't like that, drink it cold, & you'll be fine.
Feel is light-side-of-medium, with fine carbonation, that tingles the tongue at the finish, and beyond.
Overall , not bad . Not a top-notch pils, but pleasant enough for a break from more intense fare, or when AALs &/or old IPAs are the only other options. The whole is better than the sum of the parts . Worth a try.

An unusual Yuengling experience. Quite a pleasant surprise, actually.
Gorgeous color, not much foam, a fleeting aroma of summertime, a very light body yet a pleasant elegant Euro hop style bite.
Must be really delightful on a hot summer day. Well, it was 65°F in February in Vermont today. Good stuff.

Clear bright golden color with a decent white head.
The aroma is light caramel malt with a hint of grassy hops.
The taste is lightly sweet caramel malt nicely balanced by herbal hops.
The body is light, ample carbonation, smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very nice example of German Pilsner style, light, tasty and refreshing, should be good with most food and generally just for everyday enjoyment.

Has an orange / dark yellow clear color. Tastes close to a standard German pilsner with prominent flavors from the grain. Might even like this more than the traditional lager.

I was so pleased that Yeungling came out with Golden Pilsner. An "everyday" drinkable beer. Made in America. Don't review it against something it wasn't meant to be.
I lived in Milwaukee for many years when Old Style and Andecker were sold everywhere. Both had flavor!! Something most American beer drinkers were clueless about. Having been conned into drinking bubble water, just like their Uncle Bubba drank. Just like they did with weak coffee, that you could read the paper through.
These days beer drinkers are learning and experimenting with real beer from micro-brewers & imports and we now have beer snobs. Few know their butts from banjos, now having grandiose opinions.
Golden Pilsner is an excellent "everyday beer".... and I, for one am glad Yuengling, in America, is making it.
Their Black & Tan is pretty good too.... to the surprise of many who shun dark beers. (I keep both in the fridge.)
Seldom do you hear from those who thought the King-of-Beer was indeed good beer & not a con-job with good commercials..... and the ones who realize Europeans have been scratching their heads about our choices, while they've been drinking great beer for generations.

Gold in color and very clear in the body. There’s a fingernail of off white around most of the rim and covering a third of the top. The aroma is of light cereal grains with faint grassy hops. I’m tasting light cereal grains and a touch of grassy hops. The body is thin.

A good solid real-life Pilsner.
Golden-amber-a-lil-copper color.
I’m drinking from the bottle so no head to report.
Smells a tiny bit skunky and corny.
Good pils taste. Sharp on top, hollow in the middle, smooth on bottom.
Heavily carbonated but that adds some nice bite.
Overall, quite a good beer. I like me some pilsners.

In my opinion, Yuengling can do no wrong. Finally tried this one and I’m glad I did. For me, it has the hop characteristics of a German beer- as close to a true Pilsner as any macro has gotten. Nice color, decent aroma, and I personally enjoyed the slightly sticky mouthfeel. The hop bitterness is perfect to balance the malt and leave a not too dry finish with bitter notes that linger pleasantly. I know there’s some hate on here for this one but I have to disagree. Yuengling is America’s beer company for me and this is another great offering that I will purchase again when I want that beautiful German beer taste without the import price. Open your mind and give it a try.

A pretty bad tasting pilsner. Harsh and skunky tasting. Code on can bottom is impossible to decipher, but this should be fresh, purchased at a high volume store. Rusty metal flavor, strange gluey body, no good flavors to offset the bad ones. Not anything like a pilsner should taste, or any beer really. Not enjoyable to drink at all.

At first sip it tasted like a Heineken, but the more I drank it I could taste that classic Yuengling underling flavor. The shape- shifting beer confused me all night. I think I’d rather grab Yuengling’s Traditional Lager over this one. It could be a possible repurchase in the future.

For the beer that it is, this is a very nice tasting brew. Smooth and goes down nice and easy.
