Appearance: Pours a deep gold body of uncomprimising clarity. Inch of white foam steadily thins.

Smell: Very, very minor sniffs of barley, corn and sulfur, lending to a rather forgettable aroma.

Taste: A blend of malted barley and grits with some slight sweetness and a firm touch of graininess. Minimally bitter, a bit of citrus character to the hops. Lightly yeasty. Lingering dryness on the crispish finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's definitely got that Yuengling taste about it.

This one pours a golden light yellow color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This has a very light hoppy aroma on the nose, slightly grassy, with just a hint of fruity yeastiness.

This is pretty tasty, but ultimately falls short when compared to craft pilsners. The hop flavor is nice, adds a little bit of bitterness, but the malt character is uninteresting and barely noticeable. There's a bit of sweet and fruity yeast character, too.

This is light bodied and pretty clean, with a very high level of drinkability.

This definitely wins points for drinkability and price, but it's just ultimately not a top tier pilsner. I still enjoyed it, though.

This is a very “play it safe” move by Yuengling where they can stir up some excitement/interest by releasing a new beer that isnt all that different from their staple offerings.

Light golden in color with a white cap, this doesnt smell like much and taste is just about the same. Void of anything interesting and noteworthy.

Take a bottle of chesterfield ale and lager, blend them together and cut with some water - voila! That is Golden Pils in all its glory.

Yuengling diehards will be pleased with this offering as it doesnt offer much character and goes down exceptionally easy.

Wake me up when Yuengling brings something more interesting to the table again like the IPL and/or Summer wheat that were pretty damn tasty for their style.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a bright golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is strong of cereal grains, some malts. Taste is malts, grains, a touch of hops, highly refreshing. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a good warm weather beer.

16 ounce can. Served in a pilsener glass, the beer pours a clear gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like bready malt and grassy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some grain and floralness noticeable too. Light grainy sweetness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is light, it's smooth and really easy to drink. Good amount of carbonation. Nice and refreshing! I think this is a pretty good summer beer, and one that I wouldn't mind having year-round. $1.00 a can at Kroger.

1 PINT can
Served in a can glass

This beer pours a brilliant golden color and is topped with a couple inches of eggshell head that leaves no lacing.

I get a banana aroma and not much else.

The taste has hints of banana. The are basic grain flavors and no hops of which to speak.

Thin mouthfeel and light body

It is very light in every aspect. It is right up your alley if you like tasteless BMC styles which I do from time to time.

Yuengling Golden Pilsner has a thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, gold appearance, and minimal glass lacing. Aroma is of sweet sourdough, yeast, and faint grass. Taste is of those element, and some mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Golden Pilsner finishes crisp and refreshing.
