The beer is an amber color with a white head that disappears quickly. The smell is adjuncty and of stale bread but not too bad with the malt underpinnings. Taste-wise the stale bread character continues over. There is some faint earthiness and alcohol taste. It is sweet but not too sweet. The is bubbly and flow as well as hard. Overall, it is an alright light lager.

(a variety of numbered codes on each bottle in the sixer - all apparently 2018 bottles; purchased cold... poured into simple mug)

L: crystal-clear, pale golden liquid; tight pad of loose, white foam on the pour, takes a moment to collapse; keeps a collar, but leaves very little lace

S: bubblegum, toasty/nutty light caramel; relatively potent intensity... hint of corn syrup creeps in... a couple sips in, the aromas become more muted

T: immediately apparent watery shell to its simple malt foundation; sort of lightly-toasted popcorn kernel note dominant in the aftertaste, with some cereal grain poking through in the background... mild bubblegum note from the smell does carry over a little... by the end, a subtle grassy bitterness lingers, as well as a surprising amount of caramel

F: delicate bubbles up front; soft, silky, light-bodied flow... for a light beer, has a plush touch to it

O: although I've seen this countless times in package stores, the absence of the word 'Premium' on the label always threw me off, leading me to believe their 'Premium Light Beer' was an elusive whale of sorts, possibly relegated to the foothills of Schuylkill Co.... it was only when I finally first visited the brewery weeks ago that I made the connection; after the tour, tried it for the first time in a lil sample from a plastic cup... I have now reviewed every Yuengling beer in the portfolio here (1435)

Just about the best light beer I’ve tried. A golden brown color and actually has a taste — clean, a little malty sweetness and creamy mouth feel. Does a pretty good job of holding a head — a pleasant surprise for a light beer. Congrats to Yuengling for producing a light version of their signature brew with outreducing it to near-water.

Always kind of liked this one, rate it in the area of BL and CL, both of which I like ok. Easy to drink and goes down smooth. Just a hint below the average of 3

Pale straw gold color. Creamy white head. Faint sweet, grainy malt aroma. Effervescent light malt flavor with high carbonation. Sour, light hop finish. Very little body or character.

Neighbor down the road is absolutely in love with this brewery so much as to drive twenty miles south to stock up on it for the weekend. Thanks Andy. I'll give it a shot.

Look - From the bottle. Top pops to let ya know it's fresh to death. Pours a urinated golden with a thick frothy white head that actually retains exceptionally well and leaves a fair bit of stick. Well that's new for the style.

Smell - I tried. I really did. I've had more light lagers than I can count and I must sit here and say upon a dozen whiffs without even a hint of a stuff nose or a cigarette smoked in around an hour I find nothing but the faintest presence of hop.

Taste - A bit more flavor than scent. Slight hop kiss with an apparent malt that dominates. Fresh bottle so I'm not really sure what's going on here.

Feel - Dead to low carbobation with a moderately thick though watery body.

Overall - Super inoffensive and doesn't really have a flavor. Honestly I can't hate it. Light lagers are meant to taste like nothing and be drank as quickly as possible. So rating purely to style, this one is so clean you could run a computer chip factory in the bottle. Great for pounding. However is would feel morally wrong for me to give this a really high rating due to the facts of the beer. So I'll give what I feel comfortable with.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. No freshness dating, but since i bought it a mile from the brewery....

heavily carbonated, very pale yellow body, small white head, light lacing.

corny aroma, faintly yeasty, mostly a rather unpleasant chemical smell.

to be honest, there isnt much of a flavor at all. tastes watery.

thin on he mouth, a faint bite under the tongue.

overall, it is what it is. i only bought a single because after 25 years living in pottsville, this was the only one of their beers i'd never tried. (damn you ocd!) i get drinking light beers for calories, but to be honest, any flavored water would be preferable than slamming these all night.
