I pour these into a pub glass. Nice goldenrod color, head dissipates after a few minutes. Smells ok. That's where the beer drops off. It has a little bit of a bite to it and will leave a bitter taste in your mouth, but nothing to back it up. It's got an almost oily texture going down.

Honestly, I've killed about three cases of these in the past half year, and every time I buy one, I remember why I hadn't for a while. They give me gas and make me queasy. On average it's one of the cheaper lagers out there. But drop the $2 extra and buy the Premium's older, more sophisticated brother: The Yuengling Original.

Yuengling Premium Beer brew by Yuengling Brewery, with an ABV of 4.40% This brew pours out a nice amber color with a nice white head. The smell is sweet with grains and malts. You pick up a hit of hops in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste it is sweet with grains and malts. Not bad but not great. Yuengling Premium Beer has a nice balance to it, there is nothing overpowering in this brew. The mouthfeel of Yuengling Premium Beer is nice, clean and smooth. There is nothing bad about this brew. I like how this brew goes down smooth. Overall I'm giving Yuengling Premium Beer a 4.25 out 5. This brew is a nice drinking brew. Nothing fancy but nothing cheap. I would buy this brew again. Thank you Yuengling Brewery

This is my go-to beer when I'm watching sports on TV and munching on Middleswarth BBQ chips. Not the best beer in the world but a little better than Yuengling's lager and cheaper than any craft beer you can buy.

Bought this in a quart bottle at the pizzaria around the block, what a waiste of $2.50.Poured a yellowish color with some head, not much smell out of this at all maybe a little breadlike?Taste was almost skunky, very bitter and nothing really stood out but the bitterness in my mind.I'll make sure not to make the mistake in buying this again.

Pours a straw-yellow color, very pale, nearly clear, slight clarity, a bit more haze than expected. Thin, white head lasts only for a few seconds, no lacing left behind. Aroma filled with crisp grains and some lightly toasted malt (but not much). Light floral essence, a bit metallic on the nose, too. Taste is very light and crisp, thin bodied with a dry malt character; grains and corns are abundant, but still too weak to give a big flavor. Apple skins and grape sweetness comes to mind with the crispiness of the brew; hop flavor is low, although there is a slight bitterness that can be detected; however, it comes and goes without much taste at all. Some slight sweetness and a dry, crisp grain flavor in the aftertaste.

Overall, not an awful beer - certainly more flavorful and tasty than Bud, Coors, etc., but I still would venture to believe that better choices can be made wherever this is available.

Presentation: 12oz brown twist-off bottle.

Appearance: Extreme pale yellow, very thin (any thinner it would be clear), hazy with a thinly foamed white ringed lace.

Smell: Soft grains, floral and grape aromas.

Taste: Light in body. Malt profile is thin and dry. Hop flavours are a bitter sharp, citrusy, salty, steely. The brew seems to have an alcoholic character, which pulls the dryness upfront more. Beer finishes grainy, dry and with a bit of dextrin/grape sweetness. Corn notes, more in the sweetness and alcohol.

Notes: Interesting American Lager. Bitter than most. Thinner and paler than most. It's a really nice beer, but I keep on thinking "corn" ... this brew must have been brewed with the addition of corn as an adjunct ingredient.

Thanks to my neighbor Sandra for the donation, and for bringing the Yuenglings all the way up from Philly.

It was served on tap at the Yuengling Brewery.

Appearance: The body has a bright yellow color with very good clarity and lots of visible carbonation capped off with bright white head. The head is light and soapy and it quickly fads out leaving a wispy thin filmy layer.

Smell: The aroma has a light and cereal like malt base with a light floral and grassy hops in the background.

Taste / Palate: The flavor has a cereal and light grain like base malt note with a light floral and grassy hay like hops. It’s body is light and refreshing with average carbonation.

On tap at my resort bar in Orlando.

Pours a pale straw colour, thin, but durable head. Some lacing.

Nose is straw, honey, light hops and tin.

A bland, unappealing lager with a particularly unpleasant finish. No different from any typical BMC product. Stick with the traditional lager if you can, this stuff is pretty bland.

Pours a light golden color with very little head. I even tried pouring one fast to see if I could create one but it dissipated quickly.

The nose is slightly hoppy. Hints of corn. About par for a light lager.

The taste is not quite what I expected from the smell. It seems a bit light but overall the taste is about average for a light lager.

The mouthfeel seems light bodied. Nothing special. Good carbonation.

Drinkability is decent. I poured two at a time into a 32 oz. chilled mug. Six were gone before I realized it then I moved on to the Black and Tan.

Overall it's a decent beer for the price. I'm a fan of traditional Yuengling and I haven't ever had a "bad" beer from those guys at Pottsville, PA.

Spotted this one out at Chicken Chuck's been meaning to give the premium beer a whirl since I have had all of Yuengling's other products. Besides the bottle is a short stubby quart that just looks vintage and classic at the same time. The appearance of this beer is a golden yellow with a very bright white head decent head retention going on here. The aroma though is of faint malt sweetness along with semi harsh slighlty cooked vegetable tones mainly corn and rice. Very similar to other macros in appearance and aroma, but the taste is much better than most. Very clean and refreshing crispness that does of some malted barley somewhere and there no off flavors attempting to induce my gag reflex. So, all in all this beer aims for mediocrity and comes out a winner. This is nothing special just good ol' American light lager compares with Iron City to me. Lighter bodied beer designed to be drank on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn, I enjoy this beer for the time. I just can't picture wasting to much time with a beer of that's just alright..

About halfway through this beer, I know this review will be short because there's just so little to write. Not bad for the style, but what is that really saying?

An average look starts it off, just a bit of head then a wispy foam that stays around and leaves spotty lacing. The brew itself is the unsurprising pale gold.
This beer is almost the definition of nondescript: some grains (expected) underneath, slight pale malts, slight hops, a touch of skunk and a bit of yeast. The skunk in the nose if off-putting, but not so much in the flavor. It's nothing I wasn't expecting.
Crisp and refreshing, as most light lagers can be, but clean with a body actually veering toward medium.
