Notes: Yuengling® is proud to offer our Oktoberfest as an homage to our German Heritage. Copper in color, this medium bodied beer is the perfect blend of roasted malts with just the right amount of hops to capture a true representation of the style.

Pours a dark, reddish amber from the bottle, light head that quickly settles to a thin ring. Nose is baked brown bread, savory caramel, mild hops, roasted malt, and some light coffee. Taste is balanced - earthy hops, slight caramel sweetness, mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy and full with some mild carbonation. Was pleasantly surprised on all accounts and worth seeking out.

Doesn't taste like much but I had tempered expectations on this one considering the source. Overall not bad. Kind of in the Sam Adam's tier for me so it'll be years before I give this another shot. It's cheap beer and that's what you're getting. You already know this isn't the same as other Marzens

12oz bottle
Glass: 0.4L Fest Mug
Temp at Pour: mid 50s F

Nice clear copper color with a 3" off-white head. The head dissipates to a thin cover rather quickly and then dissolves. Lacing is excellent down the sides of the glass.

Lightly toasted bread and grains. Light hops. There is a sweet almost caramelly note. Some esters.

Bread dough. Caramel. Surprising but not overpowering hop bite that tamps down the sweetness and keeps things from getting cloying. Finishes dry but a tad sweet.

A bit watery. Body is on the thin side of medium.

An OK Oktoberfest/Marzen. Very easy to drink. A credible effort by 'America's Oldest Brewery'. I would have this again.

Very dark amber pour, has a dirty smell. Lacing is nothing to talk about either is the foamy head. It’s okay the beer nothing horrible but definitely not good.

Picked up a single from TW Greenville, SC 9-8-21 for $1.49. No visible bottling date; consumed 10-31-21.

Beer poured an orange brown with a smaller white head.

Nose is a toasted malt base with hints of noble hops.

Taste is a mild toasted malt base that is balanced by the noble hops and not sweet in the finish but lacks the zing a good marten finishes with.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and lacks the style crispness.

Overall not a bad beer but nothing special in the beer field marten field.

Poured an orange-tinted golden body with decent head that quickly dies without leftover lace. Smell is basically some dirty, floral hops and a touch of "lagerness". Smooth, easy to drink, not much in the flavor department, just a bit of earthy hoppiness with a dry finish that is balanced with a decent maltiness (a light to medium body). It's not bad, and it's cheap, so nothing special but you could do worse in the oktoberfest beer department.

Poured from a non-freshness dated 12 oz. bottle: this is quite an attractive pour with a bright, deep golden to amber/copper hue with a sustained, off-white, and foamy head.

One thing was quite noticeable in the aroma: this one has an almost syrupy-sweet aroma, unlike the other Oktoberfest beers I have tried this season.

The beer is quite sweet with some surprising bitterness that balances the malt and keeps this one from drifting into cloying territory. It is a very flavorful beer, but it is really not an Oktoberfest in the classic sense - it comes across as a hyped-up version of Yuengling's "Traditional Lager" which is bad as I quite enjoy that one. The mouthfeel is slightly chewy with a short-lived, clean aftertaste. Again, no my idea of a festbier but still enjoyable.

From the bottle, it pours a clear amber color with a modest off-white head that soon diminishes to anice ring and leaves a little lacing. Roasted malt in the nose, Roasted malts in the mouth with a touch of caramel.

Pours a dark, but crystal clear, amber color. Thick, three finger, tan head forms on the beer, lingers, then dissolves.

Aroma has notes of nutty malts, caramel, some light bready notes, a touch of spicy hops, and a slight fruity, estery note,

Taste has notes of bready malts, a touch of caramel, a light nuttiness with a mild sweetness that has some brown sugar and caramel notes.

Feel is light, a tad watery, but easy drinking. Moderate carbonation. Drier finish.

Overall this is a solidly mediocre oktoberfest that is more enjoyable to drink than my review/rating would imply.

See through and copper colored with a thinning offwhite head, looks decent for the style. Sweet malt on the nose with some ‘Saz’ type hops in the back, going pretty well so far. Not bad, a bit light on the flavor but a long bready finish with some slight bite is what I like most about this beer. As far as this brewery goes, this offering is fairly decent. Medium body with above average carbonation. Good.

12 ounce bottle poured into a dimpled mug.

Clear, orangish amber and wearing a three quarter inch khaki cap, it looks like a good marzen. The aroma is light but nice. mostly bread and to a lesser degree, caramel malt with a whiff of spicy hop aroma. Taste is much the same but flavor is restrained and seems overly attenuated. Body is on the light side of medium with medium high carbonation. I find this one rather dry and crisp for style, though a decent enough drinking beer.

Dark amber, totally clear, frothy light brown head that dissipates quickly. Smell is toasted grain with some metallic notes. Taste brings in sweet molasses. Pretty light and easy drinking--it gets the job done decently well for its price point.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a dark copper body with less than a finger's worth of beige head with small retention and decent lacing.

Aroma: caramel, fresh bread and toast, toasted malts, orange peel, honey, nuts, grain, and pears.

Tasting mostly grain, bread/toast, toasted malts, the nuts, honey, and caramel the best. Body is medium-light.

I’m a casual beer drinker, not a beer “expert” but I know what i like. Ive been a long time fan of Yuengling Lager. This year I tried Yuengling Oktoberfest Lager and I LOVE it. To my taste, it’s the perfect drinking beer! (You beer experts...please take it easy on me! Respect that I enjoy this fine beer, okay?)

Clear orange-amber, with light , quickly-dissipating white head.

Smells of caramel, and slight fresh bread aroma.

Taste is caramel, though less sweet than the aroma, a light spiciness, and dried lemon/lime zest(+rust?) at finish. That last bit may sound odd, & it is, but it is barely noticeable, and it works(mostly) .

Feel is light-medium, with moderate, fine, carbonation tingle.

Overall , though not high on my list of Oktoberfests, it's OK, & I wouldn't turn it down if offered.
