Yuengling® is proud to offer our Oktoberfest as an homage to our German Heritage. Copper in color, this medium bodied beer is the perfect blend of roasted malts with just the right amount of hops to capture a true representation of the style.

This poured out as a copperish looking brown color. The head was Kind of soapy looking and cream colored. The lacing and retention was minimal. The smell of the beer has some malty aromas with a touch of spice and a lager yeast in there as well. The taste of the beer is average to, seems like just a slightly different flavor than their Traditional Lager. The mouthfeel was smooth with a good carbonation and a solid dry finish to it. Overall I wasn't too impressed, it was fun to try and I was happy I did but I wouldn't have to go after this one like I do with Samuel Adams each year.

One of my favorite seasonal beers. Has a good, rich flavor, heavier on the malt side, as I would expect. While not a full-fledged marzen, it's a solid, sweeter beer that tastes great while everyone else is sipping on their chemical pumpkin spice lattes.

Copper colored with excellent clarity. There’s a fingernail of brown over the top. There’s a slightly bready to caramel note in the aroma. I’m tasting sourdough bread. Good lord! This will pair well with pretzels. The mouth is crisp and snappy.

Has a nice dark amber color but smell and taste I'd say are middle of the road. Nothing really spectacular but nothing offensively bad about this beer. Definitely just go for a Yuengling Traditional Lager or Golden Pilsner instead of getting this.

Not much of a taste, tastes like Yuengling lager but a little less hoppy. Hard to believe this company is selling this as an Octoberfest. Overpriced for what it is. Their Black & Tan is much tastier. Very disappointing.

Dark amber pour with a moderate heads that recedes quickly. Sharp hop notes in the smell and flavor of this beer, seems the bitterness is not evened out enough by the sweetness that comes from the malt profile. Not a bad beer, on par with their traditional lager but with more of a bite.

12oz bottle pours a medium orange-brown color with a small amount of fizzy, tan-colored head that disappears pretty quickly. Smells very faintly of dark malt and earthy notes. The flavor profile definitely departs from traditional Märzen territory, with a darker, roastier, and heartier flavor rather than a toasty/bready flavor you would expect. The earthiness from the aroma follows in the flavor with a subtle sweetness and a caramel note. Medium body, mild amount of herbal-earthy bitterness, fizzy carbonation mouthfeel, and a pretty dry finish.
This certainly departs from what you'd expect from a Märzen, but I actually really like it. Almost feels like a hybrid between a Märzen and a Dunkel (or even a Porter). I love traditional Märzen and I love most all dark beers, so this was a hit for me. I imagine some folks will be surprised by how dark the flavor is though. Would probably buy again.

Beautiful copper color. Small head that fades quickly to a thin layer.
Tastes like a Märzen only with less hops. The slightly dark finish gets more pronounced as it warms. But it’s never overwhelming. Nicely balanced flavor. Surprisingly good. This brewery is hit-and-miss for me.
Very drinkable. Probably not the most hifalutin Märzen out there, but an enjoyable drink. Especially for the price.

Not too shabby. Kind of thin, like a cheap solid state amplifier! I would get it again if there is nothing else appealing in the cooler.

Dark amber/copper appearance. Lots of carbonation. Off white head that faded within a minute. Muted malt/ sweet aroma. Taste followed the aroma, not much depth albeit highly drinkable. There are better marzens out there, but this is okay given it's lower price.
